What are the odds on him still having the most posts even if he is gone for the next three years?

All kidding aside, Law was one of my top five favorite posters. Unfortunately, he had gone off the deep end and had become so negative that it was even difficult for me to wade through his posts. He was just angry all the damn time. He needed a break. I think he was in a bad space.

He’s been that way for years. He had a brief relapse after the Michigan game, but he was back in his happy miserable place after Miami.

I get it. When we lost to UT 18 years ago (a game we would have won if it was played the day it was scheduled..the Saturday after 9/11) I went into a deep, 2 week funk. That was quickly followed by the HBC leaving us for DC and I damn near didn’t want to get out of bed every morning. I realized then that I had to reset my priorities and not let a bunch of 20 year old students playing a Saturday game ruin all the good things in my life for long periods at a time when they screwed up. Law will get his reset and be back, just like I did. Doesn’t mean that, had I been the guy who shot Bin Laden, I wouldn’t have kicked him hard in the balls while he was bleeding out to pay him back for costing us a Natty that year though!

Law wasn't even particularly happy when we were rolling over teams in 2008. He pretty much hated any offenses post-Spurrier.

I never cared much for Al Davis, but agree with the sentiment: just win, baby. The offense on the 90s (& 00-01) was awesome to behold, but I also loved every minute of the Tim Tebow era. Based on what your saying, one could infer Swonk’d take a loss under SOS over a win under Urbs. If how we win is more important to Swonk than just winning, than I get that guy even less than I thought. Do still miss him tho.

It really was the best and represented the cleansing of all the prior demons in the Gators history. Everything after that era was (is?) doomed to pale by comparison.

This. Knowledgeable poster, but very narrow-minded on how it should get done. To put into perspective how much he hated the Meyer offense, he was one of the biggest pumpers going into the WM era with Weis, Brantley, etc. It just felt right to him that we were transitioning to a more pro-style system. That's also why guys like Brohm and Fedora were always thrown around as his favorites replacement candidates. Anything outside of an all-out passing attack was never going to please him.

For the record, I feel the same way. **** all this running the ball.
