2005 was clunky.

2006 was almost 400 ypg on our way to a 13-1 season against the toughest schedule in the nation and a national championship. We could use a lot more of that “painful”.

Yep it didn't seem like it at times but we were about the #20 or so total offense that year but it was 2007 when all these pinball scoring offenses seemed to take off including ours for a few years there.

I’m with the Donk on recruiting (as are most people here). I’d be optimistic if we were kicking a$$ on the recruiting trail, even if we weren’t getting the results we wanted on the field for the first couple of DM years. Having mediocre recruiting results with a mediocre offense is a lot to take after the last 10 years we’ve endured, mainly bc it’s hard to see how this all comes together to get us where we want to be.
I agree and disagree with Law on the offense. First of all we may never see the creative genius Coach Spurrier displayed during his tenure here. Add in being our greatest football hero and it just won't be matched. What Coach has done is give as good of an offense as anyone runs in CFB today. He has also done all one can ask for with the talent on hand. On the recruiting end I believe he faces a tougher task than than most of us admit to get there but is establishing a firm foundation (another 10 win year really needed) and hopefully it will improve, take off and get us to where all Gators want to be.I'm still very hopeful. I'm also hopeful Law will have a speedy return.

Who said "perception determines reality"?

I think many people put too much faith in what "experts" say or think.

Swamp Donk was an exception, he plotted his own course and couldn't suffer the fools who didn't or couldn't agree with him. If anything, he cares too much about his beloved Gators. When Love becomes obsession, everyone near you suffers. Obsession sucks the joy out of life.

Fair trailing winds Swamp Donk, you are missed.

Again I resort to the Spurrier wheel to think on behalf of Law, which shows three feature backs over a decade.

Rhett
Taylor
Graham

Not Smurfs and not bulldozing types either.

Wasn't Taylor the only the only 5 star type of recruit out of the three?

Don't know. Not sure stars were even tracked back then, although one would think Taylor was deserving.

I guess my point really was while Spurrier got some highly sought after talent (Green and Odom quickly come to mind) f$u still out recruited us in the recruiting rankings pretty regularly.

Once you have experienced an attacking offense, a chicken offense is hard to stomach.

I am just realizing that I miss law in Politics as well as Sports. Maybe when he is better he can begin rehab with a few cautious posts in Politics.

It's unknown. Only Law had access to the secret scrolls of recruiting rankings pre-2003.

If this situation made the donk fold so easily can you imagine how he would handle being in a courtroom? I don't think he should come back as the swamp donkey. He should chose an animal that's timid and has a small penis.

So Franks goes down with a season ending injury and Law comes back. I'd say it sort of makes sense, except he absolutely hates Trask so it actually makes less sense.:scratchhead:

There were magazines, dude. And SI ranked classes too. About four or five national mags but one was that azzhole who only considered Notre Dame's kids blue chippers.
