It baffles me the number of times I see a coach call a play on 3rd down that goes right the when failure to convert puts his kicker on the right hash mark that close in.

That's never stopped this ultra-conservative coaching staff from continuing to slam into brick walls. Let's hope this changes Mullen.

The play of the game, and somewhat lucky was the last second pitch by Trask to Perine for the TD.
I don't know if that was quick decision making or panic on Trask's part but it worked and that's what we need. No way in hell Franks makes or even tries that pitch. He gets tackled of the 4 yard line and we kick a field goal.
Mullen needs to implement one of those Big 12 offenses and throw it around the field. We have 6-7 great receivers and a couple of TEs that can catch. THROW IT!

We won’t beat Missouri, either. We can’t score enough points to keep pace IMO.
Non-existent run game in a Mullen offense is a recipe for failure.

He had no choice but to throw the ball. We were behind, running out of time and couldn’t generate any semblance of a running game.

I think we will get a huge reality check with Auburn at how limited this offense is with no RB rushing game. And again against GA and LSU.

You definitely seem down in the dumps now that your boy Franks isn't the QB. Someone told me you were in tears when it happened.

Time for Mullen to get a updated oc bc his off just isn't enough nowadays trust me we all no we lose this game if Frank doesn't get hurt

I was sick for the kid. He’s worked hard to improve his game.
Mullen has typically been a pretty solid play caller...in crunch time. Not so great earlier in the game. He’s pretty stubborn IMO.

I wouldn't argue about that, I think that's who we are now as a program, and until recruiting improves that's what we'll be. Occasionally beat one of the big boys like LSU last year.

I think we end up beating Mizz this year. Before I was thinking we’d lose 4-5 this year.
Changing because of Trask’s preparedness and the gambler mentality of CDM. And Savages results.
