I hope I never get to the point where every time we get a break or the ball bounces our way that I consider it luck, but whenever the breaks go the other way its because we suck.

I don’t think we are complete suckage at all. Other teams have had some luck vs us but we’ve had more and it’s turned out to be more influential for us cuz we won. But, at some point another team’s luck will surpass ours and that’s the point at which we need to make it not matter. Not there yet.

We are lucky they missed that field goal, but we left so many points out there I think it all evened out. Missed field goal, 2 TDS called back for holding, stupid turnovers, sh*tty play calling, etc.

Don't forget one of their TDs was a total circus catch that should have been overturned.

Yeah, I agree with those saying we’ve certainly fought our way through our fair share of bad luck as well so far. The only thing that he has been fortunate in to me is the upgrade(so far) at QB, which he fell into. It seemed like a replay of miami with the amount of points we left on the table.

And as Sas mentioned, the midseason change at QB yet again is almost unfathomable. In 17 combined years of Spurrier and Meyer, it never happened once. Since then, epic disaster.

I’m still not getting the review of a non-targeting penalty play either. Between that and targeting itself, the officiating was a joke for 60 min.

But the entire staff needs to wake up. I knew we wouldn’t be pretty in these first few years, but some of what they’re doing is ridiculous.

I'd rather be lucky than good, and one thing Mullen hasn't been this season is good at matching playcalling to personnel, or vice versa for that matter.

We're almost 1.5 years into this experiment and I'm no more certain of its success than I was 12 months ago. If anything, I'm more convinced it isn't headed in the right direction.

The head coach recruits the wrong kinds of athletes for his own system, then plays stubborn over it. Not good.

Blackmail. It's the only explanation.

You're absolutely right: Trask comes in and Mullen calls 10 passes in a row and opens up the offense. The UK defense didn't know what hit them. A QB making quick decisions with a quick release? Oh the humanity!
Interestingly enough, both scores from trask were on plays requiring the QB to be a rushing threat.

Who has he recruited that’s not a good fit? He’s playing a bunch of Butters dudes and mashing them into a scheme they aren’t tailor made for.

Mullen must think Franks gave him the ability to run more of his offense than Trask.

The play of the game was Stoops going for it on fourth down rather than kicking a FG. That was the desperate act of a loser rather than someone with confidence. It's who UK is deep down and they know it. That's why we beat them, not because Trask is a world beater. We'll see what he can do in the coming weeks, I just hope Mullen doesn't try to force him to run it into the teeth of the defense and get him hurt. We can't afford another lost year, it has to be positive enough to help with recruiting.

We lose 3 this year. UGA, LSU and Auburn.
Pumper.

The only thing that is going to help recruiting is closers.

So you would have sent the shaky freshman kicker in there to try a 55 yard FG with an 11 point lead? OK coach, good call.

I am watching it again and I gotta say that Trask throws a nice ball and gets it out fast. Plenty of confidence.

I remember when, back in the 80's, Gator fans bemoaned how lucky Vince Dooley was. I don't know if he carried a rabbit's foot but surely seemed that way every time UGa played us in Jacksonville.

We ran one jet sweep all night, and we saw what happened. Running one a quarter would stop the run defense from cheating inside a bit.

Good teams don't put themselves in position to need luck and fluke events to go their way every week in order to win.

We need heartattack level individual plays to occur to squeak by sht teams dang near every week. This team is poorly coached, lacks depth, discipline and fundamentals, and the recruiting has been butters level since Mullen showed up.

It is what it is.

THIS!!.....And it is only getting worse with these dogshiit recruiters. Sad really. The only hope I can see is if Mullen opens up the passing game to set up the run and Granthum has a brain transplant.

The play of the game, and somewhat lucky was the last second pitch by Trask to Perine for the TD.
I dont think this can be over looked. A real heads up play by the guy..........Big and strong enough to do that even while being tackled.
Some may say lucky but he looked like he had been the QB for a long time.
