Good points. One thing to point out though is that we were playing sort of a hurry up offense being down two scores in the 4th quarter. I doubt Mullen runs that same offense in the 1st half next week, then we'll see if Trask can run what Mullen wants to run.
See i disagree with you about the being down by 10 is the reason for the hurry up. KT took his for snap down 10 with 14.34 left in the game and Mullen was throwing all over the field with him in the game. We drove down and scored a td and was down by 5 points. KT got the ball back down 5 with 10:35 on the 4 yard line and instead of throwing a screen or running the ball he had Trask drop back and 12 yard sideline out route. That's a throw we never see FF throw. If FF was in the game at that time Mullen most likely runs the ball twice to gain some yards and get out of the endzone. Very next play Tradk throws another ball pass the sticks for another 12 yard gain. My point is there was no need to continue to throw the ball down 5 with 10 left but he was letting KT. That would never of happened with FF

For all the '(insert breakable nickname here)' Trask comments and fears of him injuring himself out of the rest of the season....may I kindly point out the kid played a full quarter, took several hits, including a targeting hit that rocked him while another player held his lower half still, and he walked off fully functional? Or does that not count?

Agree or disagree, Mullen called a different offense in the 4th quarter than he did the other three quarters.

He broke his foot last year, and tore his meniscus the year before. It's not that his body is weak. I am sure S&C strengthened that for him. But once you suffer an injury, you are just more likely to have the same injury or a different injury involving the same limb due to odd mechanics.

In case you haven't read the article I linked. I'll quote:

"ACL injury was linked to a successive injury of the same ACL, and other injuries in the LE. HS was associated with subsequent ipsilateral HS and knee injuries. Previous achilles tendon rupture increased the risk of an analogous injury on the contralateral side. An ankle sprain was associated with a re‐injury of either the ipsilateral or the contralateral ankle. Post‐injury changes were present in strength, proprioception, and kinematics, which may have led to overall changes in motor control and function."
Fascinating, just fascinating.

Some players are injury prone. The dude has had 2 season ending injuries in his 3 and a half years . It's not unreasonable to say he might be a little injury prone.

That was my point from the beginning. You said it was because we were down 10. I made a case it wasn't that at all it was because of FF.

considering he hasn't even played in those 3 seasons, yeah, not sure how you could feel otherwise.

Also the reason if mullz starts dialing up more qb runs into the center of the defensive line I might break my tv.

In what population? What was the sample size and did they all have successful rehab after the initial injury. Sounds like some shabby rehab to me and putting kids back on the field too soon.
