How’d that happen? Imagine it’s pretty painful.

One of our cats was chased up a tree. Was able to get him on the ladder but he did the normal cat **** and I tried to rush down the ladder, lost my balance and fell from around 6 feet. Could have been worse but damn this is painful

You do realize cats can climb down trees, right? The cat would have come down on his own as soon as he got hungry.

Ollie my FIL went through that, his heel has never been the same and ended up with that heel being about 3/4" shorter than the other. If that happens forget ortho shoes and find a good old school cobbler. One in Ocala seen him walk in and immediately knew what to do to his shoes.

Was reading about that. Hopefully I’ll know the extent of damage today.

No way that's his ankle. And he can definitely make a full recovery.

I had a similar injury in January 2013. Dislocation and break, including the orbit. I had the dislocation reduced and the break surgically repaired a few days later. They couldn't operate right after the injury, it swelled up too much and they had to ice it and reduce swelling. My surgeon was the Miami Dolphins ankle guy. I had a bunch of screws and plates. My ankle required 3 surgeries but I made a full recovery, but it did take a year.

I think Franks is done as a Gator. He will need a lot of time to come back. Not sure if he will transfer or simply try to make the NFL but he's going to need a lot of time and rehab to come back. I feel bad for him.
Unfortunately for him I think you may be right unless Jones turns out to be really pedestrian. If he can't play in the Spring I don't see him ever getting the starting job back here at UF and he will probably transfer with his remaining 2 years if that is the case. I see him putting his name in the portal sometime during the 2020 season unless Jones flops. Zero chance the NFL drafts him unless he starts playing again and looks decent. I wonder if his best option for the NFL might be playing the position his brother plays if he leaves UF.

Damn. The older you get, it's always some dumb crap like this that sneaks up and bites you in the ass.

No...I ment using both Trask and Jones.

If Trask is it ...Jones will need some playing time.

Oh!

Well, it worked for several UF teams in the past...... maybe this time is the same? Jones has a few pounds to gain before he’s Tebow size however!

He must be pretty swollen. Thankfully the surgery to fix this is really good. I was running again after about 9 months, including some longer races like 10 milers and half marathons. It's a long rehab, the worst of it was coming back from the atrophy. I hope his folks got him some of that injury insurance for a couple million bucks. Not to pay for surgery/rehab but in case of a career threatening injury. He can come back from this but the timing is terrible for him.
