If the Gators really did run the table (in some possible universe this happens) you'd have to talk Trask for Heisman. If it does happen, someone get Donk's shoelaces.
I picture Trask holding up that hideous golden Dr. Pepper trophy at the end of the season, a beatdown of Clemson at his hands. Confetti is falling everywhere....just picture it. The greatest story in the history of college football - a high school backup wins it all, getting game MVP in the process.
It would be the NCAA equivalent of Kurt Warner going from supermarket stock boy to Super Bowl MVP.
I don’t think @Swamp Donkey is ready to live in that world.Trask has the opportunity of a lifetime here. To go from backup QB and a Houston Baptist recruit to winning some SEC games is a huge story. He could be a poster boy for hard work, dedication, and overcoming adversity.

True and he will always have the KY double digit comeback no matter what happens starting with the Auburn game.
It's probably all just wishful thinking on my part, but we could be witness to something special this season.

He might - but I doubt its this game. Could catch someone like Auburn off guard though. What are the chances Mullen pulls a mind fcuk on everybody and trots Emory Jones out as the starter?
I say 0.0%
But what do I know?
Alex.
I guarantee you he's rooting for Trask
There's another board? Hmmm.I have been touting Trask for a couple years on the other board based on the limited action he has gotten, but I coach football myself and know what you see in practice doesn't necessarily transfer to the field. Based on KY game, I am not sure why we haven't see more of him. FF must be a monster in practice. FF didn't necessarily have a bad game. He made some great throws and had that one that was a head scratcher.
We need to be a pass heavy team. We have a QB that can throw it, a line that block it, and one of the best receiving corps in the country. I would say the best just due to the depth we have at the position. Not sure there is anyone who is deep enough to cover all 4 receivers. All 4 of them would be a #1 or #2 option on any team in the country.
I think the difference will be that Trask will be more likely to throw a guy open than Franks. Franks held it and held it until the guy was wide open and then chucked it. Trask made several throws the other night where he anticipated the receiver’s break and hit him. The one that comes to mind is that dig route to Pitts. That was a thing of beauty.Think both struggle and can't do it but one has an arm that can take the top off the defense and is more mobile hence why he got the start. I want Trask to succeed as he is the starter now but I'm not going to let an emotional 4th quarter of play against the weakest secondary in the SEC dictate what I think he will happen.
I think at this point if we can finish with only three losses it will be a great year considering everything
You might lose a lot of money making guarantees like that.
