We better hope defensive coordinators don't adjust to him the way they did with Tyler Murphy in 2013. They definitely won't be playing pillow soft zones against him the way UK did the whole 4th quarter. Good news is, at least we have Emory Jones behind him instead of Skyler "Don't Take My Cleats" Mornhinweg.

Well part of that was Murphy not being able to raise his arm above his shoulder hardly after being really banged up in that Mizzu game I think.

I may be remembering this wrong as the last 2 years of Champ were so bad but aside from the shoulder injury I believe our DE’s dropped a couple critical passes for him. LSU for some reason comes to my mind.

I hear ya ... and I think the kid is better than give credit ... but I dont think he is the difference maker unless he can shore up our run defense and secondary. Our D is going to get pushed around .. a lot.

He played great but proof is if their kicker doesn’t miss a chip shot...we lose. We need all units to step up.

Im fine with a few turnovers from pushing the ball down the field. At least we are trying to do be agressive. I cant remember the last time the florida offense was agressive. Its been decades.

I agree...open it up and don’t fret a few mistakes. 2 of FF’s 3 ints were deeper shots. Give Trask those shots without the criticism.

Funny you should mention Tyler Murphy. That’s exactly who I’ve been thinking of.

Didn’t he transfer to BC and have a good season under the Dazzler?

He ran for a billion yards and passed for about five that year. Made it to the NFL as a WR.

Tyler Murphy was a much easier adjustment. From what I can tell, Trask actually resembles a real QB.

I honestly don't give a flip if we are better with or without Trask. While I really hate that FF got injured, his leadership has been piss poor and I think we're better off with someone else leading our team.

Trask is going to surprise some folks.
Fasten your f**king seatbelts.

A few maybe but I think overall there is a lot of confidence in him.

I do think it is critical that he has a solid game against the Vols for his own confidence and to extend his honeymoon period. If he has a poor game I think the pendulum will swing too quickly to EJ. I like the idea of bringing EJ along at a slower pace.

5 games of tutelage and unleash him on the Dwags where his speed could be a factor.

With the weapons we have outside and the lack of running game, having a gunslinger isn’t a bad idea.

Saw this on IG - Its been no secret I've always thought Trask was better at passing & decision making...while Franks was better at escaping pressure and running the ball. I was behind Franks cause Mullen was and now I'm behind Trask. Hope Trask can grow every week & get us W's Jeremy Jones on Twitter

Kicker makes the field goal, we still get the ball back with plenty of time to get in FG range for the win.

And, if our kicker doesn't miss a chip shot, their kicker doesn't try one because they would still be behind.

When almost every and everything out there has said otherwise. If you're not the leader of the team, the whole team doesn't gather around you like they did last Saturday...

Go back and re watch the 4th quarter.....if we don't get a running game going we are in deep doo doo. Trask threw the ball with his feet together, he threw the ball with both feet off the ground and he threw the ball off his front foot too many time to count....he won't get away with that against man up defenses....not hating on him btw..

I'm not sure how many people have missed this. His mechanics and fundamentals were abysmal for a guy who has been in the program for three years.

I hope he succeeds but his lollipopping the ball against soft zone won't work against better teams.
