Closing the books on the Franks era under Dan Mullen, the Gators put up a solid 81.25% win percentage (13 of 16 games won) with Franks as the starter.

Driskel went 11-1 in 2012 in the regular season also. Butters won the East twice with Treon Harris, Appleby and Luke Del Rio playing QB also. Butters also only lost one time in the Swamp in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

The 2000 Ravens went 18-1 and won the Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer under center.

I wasn't able to watch the game, but I did follow here on the chatbox. Perhaps Ox will repost it at some point, but it looked like we were really, really, REALLY bad.
Then Trask comes in and, on the road and down two scores against a formidable SEC opponent, executes a great game to bring us back and win by 8 points.
And to think that this kid has practically NO live experience since middle school.
And he doesn't look like any kind of slouch either.
It might be that we just found ourselves a pretty damn good QB.

I'm truly sorry about what happened to Franks, and I hope he makes a full recovery and moves on to great things. But I'm not taking anything away from Trask at this point.
He earned his chance to start for UF.

You are forming your opinion of how the game went by the reaction of the gameday drama queens here at GC?

I feel like I remember a few come-from-behind victories with Frank's throwing the ball in the 4th quarter.

im just not really sure why we always wait till the 4th quarter to try the forward pass.
Same here. Welcome back, btw. Nice Av.

To me the handoff for the jet sweep at the end was a thing of beauty, the timing couldn't have been better, it looked like a run up the gut all the way.
The dynamics of being thrown into the fire at a moments notice and having a week to think about it will be interesting to see play out.
I think Trask will look good Sat.

It was certainly the right play call at the right time. I hope Mullen keeps it up.

I resent this remark. I’m really more of a drama princess.

I'm totally a drama queen during our games. But I make a point to avoid social interaction during a game for the last 9 years because I mostly have just wanted to kill stuff during that 2-3 hour time span.

and yet, we still have posters around that would tell you everything is fine and coach (fill in the blank) is on the right path all the way up until the day coach fill in the blank gets fired.

The reason we all know deep down that we aren't where we need to be is that most afternoons of gator football consist of a hell of a lot of angst, frustration, cursing, sense of futility followed in conclusion by either complete despair and/or borderline apathy or a huge sense of relief but no real feeling of joy or confidence for what will ensue in 7 more days.

I rarely come around here while we’re playing. Some folks are bordering on insanity in the box during a game.
