Great quote from Urban in that article: "It’s been that way for a few years now. I’m just shocked. … You’re talking about one of the top 10 jobs in America.”

He could just as easily be talking about Florida with that quote. You know, the program he broke.

Eight.....b!tch we be number 17...….3 years in a row.

I'm just shocked one of our QB's doesn't wear the #17.....it must be DM's lucky number. Maybe the third time is the charm...:rotfl:
I just meant to the ones kicking our teeth in with our own damn homefield Florida recruits.

We’ve struggled for about 10 years. The Lost Decade as I coined it, going as far back as the old board when I forewarned how 10 years would come quickly and 20 years was certainly possible if we made a few more hiring mistakes. The only good thing I can say, relative to Tennessee, is they have a 5 year head start on irrelevance compared to us. I don’t think they’ve played for a conference title since ‘04 so they’re sitting at about 15 years of futility and are all but assured of their 2nd consecutive Lost Decade. Mullen needs to right the ship quickly or we may be in the same predicament.

Sounds like they will also have a new president.

So they have a new prez who apparently is not enamored with Urbs. Okay I get that, but I just heard that USCw wants to first hire an AD. Well I have just the person for them. He is available, has tons of experience from tearing ticket stubs to being an AD (supposedly). And for some reason, I hear he would get good reviews from others at the AD level at other schools. I think USCw should call immediately.

Difference between now and 10 years ago is Meyer is healthy. He won't want or need as much time away from the game as the last go-around.

Don't be surprised if some program decides to take a large -- as in USD -- preemptive shot at him this offseason. I could see him taking it.

That and Shelly is not around her dentist...

I was hoping UGA’s AD would move on and Foley would replace him. Why settle for the mentee when the mentor is available!

If Urban REALLY let it be known that he wanted the job, the only teams in the country that wouldnt find a way to fire their current coach and hire him are Trailerbammer and Clempson.

So a few thoughts crossed my mind as I sit here watching the Utah-USC game. The obvious one is I’d like to bang some USC cheerleaders...but I’m sure you knew that based on my previous post above. 2nd thought is what position group will Urban hire Zach Smith to coach when he accepts the head coaching gig?
