Incredible stat.

But, honestly, this type of "not since___" talk is the the stuff I hate going into these games. Seems to always burn us.
Always seems to happen doesn’t it?

“Hasn’t missed a kick in 63 straight tries” proceeds to shank next kick

“Hasn’t thrown an interception in 264 straight pass attempts” proceeds to throw interception.

But with that said I’m not worried about Tennessee. They’re stats last week were terrible. We still blow them out

A nice little blow out would be sweet, not sure how much more the heart can take.

I feel the same way but I hope we don't somehow make their QB look like a world beater. We seem to have a habit of doing just that.

I think we need a lot of crazy stunts on the D line. UcheaT QB is not cool under pressure.

Agreed. Zuniga being back would help considerably. But also don't forget we're in bizzarro world where we'd prefer them not get into a 3rd and long. So maybe we cab pressure him, but let him pick up 2-3 yards before really hitting him, setting up a nice 3rd and manageable. At worst, we may have to just jump offsides a few time to at least get it to single-digits-to-go again.

I think Trask plays the most and plays a real good game. I think EJ has plays some and plays well but not quite as good overall. But I do think EJ is going to have a couple really dynamic plays....maybe break a long run or 2 or hit a long pass off a scramble....enough so this board splinters into 2 camps and we end up with a full blown QB controversy.

We will kick the living shyt out of the Vols so this might be all we can really argue about for the week.

I also think we have a RB or 2 breakout this week so I guess that could also be fodder for the week. Davis will break one and Perine and Pierce will run hard. Minimum 200 yards on the ground.

40-13 Gators.

Avoid 3rd and Grantham altogether. Good strategy.

The strength of this team is our WR's and I think it's clear Trask gives us the best chance to utilize that. I think one area we'll see a big improvement will be our WR screens. I feel confident that Trask is going to put the ball exactly where it needs to go so that our WR's can utilize their athleticism on the edge. This plays to our strength (WR talent) and avoids our biggest weakness (o-line). Franks was often off on the WR balls and this ruins screen plays before they start even if the pass is completed. Trask should also be able to execute our intermediate passing game fairly well. This is an area where Franks was often off. Franks has a big arm and throws a great deep ball but his intermediate passing game was shaky at best. I feel like Trask will be able to come in and zip it around a bit. I like our chances on third and 8-12 a lot more now.

I expect to see EJ in for a decent amount of option and zone read plays with some one read play action pass plays thrown in the mix.

I know a lot of people are calling this game close with some of the sports guys putting us on upset alert. I personally think we win this game by 17 or more.

I agree. I also think Trask gets rid of the ball quicker and maybe reads the defense better. Timing is pretty crucial on intermediate routes. On the flip side I don't think he will scramble as well.

Nah, this board is pretty level-headed. I'm pretty sure there will be very few disagreements as we rally behind one guy. Furthermore I think we will have pretty realistic expectations, so I doubt anybody will get too excited if we're successful or get too down if we don't play well.

Absolutely. I'd even go as far as saying should one of them receive what they feel is undue criticism, and elect to voice their concern or disagreement--perhaps even within the confines of an actual game--said fans will take a moment to self-reflect, while maintaining the highest opinion of the player in question and actively avoiding any suggestion that the player not taking primary snaps should do so in the following game or demanding the strictest of codes relating to facial hair, if and when it is elected to be grown.

It's just who we are.

Spot on old chap. I’d guess we’d all come together to support the coach’s decision making as well. Who needs two point charts when we all agree in the first place?
