That was @Slevin - I’m a big fan of advanced stats for the reasons listed in this post and my response to Donkey. One thing I haven’t done is track Grantham’s... would be interesting as a discussion point. Give me 20 minutes...

Thanks Captain Obvious, hence the "recruiting obviously needs to get better" in the post you replied to. If you don't think this team is better in nearly every measure than 2-3 years ago under Butters, when guys were making their own deals on the side trying to get some strength training, you haven't been paying attention... at all.

Everyone wants Top 5 recruiting. Awesome. But right now, nothing about this program is Top 5. Not the facilities, not the recent history. The kids we're recruiting have seen 10 years of mostly garbage... did Dabo suddenly figure out how to "close", or did the recruiting naturally follow the results? UGA is one of the few programs that got the recruits before the results... you can sell snake oil for a while.
You build your first point on contentment with current record. I showed why that’s stupid. Simple as that.

And I hate those Dabo mentions - Clemson is dumping way more money into their program. That’s how he learned to “close”. Until we stop doing everything on the cheap, he won’t even have a chance to be like Dabo. I’d also argue Dabo has a better eye for assistants but that’s subjective so I’ll leave it as opinion only.

I think we'll know tomorrow. If Mullen runs the same offense with a very different quarterback, you might have more company on the dark side. 'Til then, smile brother! Football in 13 hours.
Id Iove to see something other than options (or sideways passes) for the first three quarters.

In fairness, we did throw down field more last game, even early, and were mostly successful. Problem is the glacial pace and stupidly timed QB runs or slow developing RPOs that gain little or no yards. We find our way into 3rd down way too often.

We can BARELY run 50 plays a game.

This shyt is the reason people stopped watching Big Ten.

In fairness, the entire DL was recruited way too small - he’s not a miracle worker.

Question for you... in your experience, does the S&C staff have different types of routines/emphasis for each position group? It seems like some groups flourish while others flounder in our programs of the past. Savage’s program is TBD, in my opinion.

4 wins to 10 is not marginal improvement. As for why issues with the S&C program came out after the previous staff left, when else would you recommend the players talk to the media about it?

Butter went from 4 wins to 10 also.

Next.
