Listening to late night sports radio, west coast radio that is, and they still love them some Chip Kelly. He needs more time, got to rebuild, UCLA is an odd college with where campus is compared to where games are played. Blah blah blah.

Chump.

Like another poster mentioned above, I think Willie and Kelly will both be back next season unless they quit voluntarily (that’s mainly directed towards Kelly in the event the NFL comes knocking, which I think is unlikely).

Also, Pruitt’s not getting fired after his second season, IMO.

Taggert needs time to develop his program, his way. Pruitt needs to stay no matter what. Champ is doing a decent job for USCe. It's about as good as they can hope for over there. That leaves Kelly the first to fall. Perhaps we can scoop him up on the cheap as an analyst / recruiting tool. Anyhow, as long as Taggert gets his fair shake at FSU, we're good.

I will go in reverse order;

5. Kelly. UCLA just does not care.
4.. Hardballs. Will resign for to spend time with family or find his way back into NFL before they fire him
3. Musscrat. Enough winnable games left on schedule and frosh QB excuse to rest on
2. Willie. :nole: No money and doubt any bank will finance a buyout.
1. Pruitt. Enough of the incest crowd still cares and they have a money guy who gets what he wants if he decides to reach into his pocket.

I think Kelly saved his job with last night's big comeback. Not sure Taggart gets the axe unless FSU can do some fundraising. Like I said in another thread, there is something really fishy about FSU's financial situation. They were winning a championship and then a couple years later effectively bankrupt. I think there could be a lot more to that story and if it is something terrible he might really be there a long time.

The rest of these guys are gone.

Temporarily maybe. He's not the answer and everyone knows it, including him.

They are still looking at a 3 win season.

Pruitt will be gone before the season is over. Fat Phil will make himself the interim.
Chump will probably be canned after Clemson hangs 100 on them and the Cawks finish 4-8.
The rest are safe until next year.

I don't think any of them get fired this year, but if one does, it's probably Chump.

Pruitt, Taggart, and Kelly are all in their second year. Besides the buyouts being too much to handle for the schools, they all know that they won't get a decent coach to come in there after firing a coach just 2 years in.

Harbaugh, Michigan's chosen son, is doing a good job in recruiting, just not in getting them coached up. He'll get to reshuffle his coaching staff before he gets fired, buying him at least another season.

Muschamp won 22 games in his first 3 seasons at SCar, which is the most of any coach they've had. They have the nation's toughest schedule this year, as some coworker fans tell me repeatedly, and a freshman QB. He'll get another year as well unless he loses to everyone else on the schedule except Appalachian St (and never underestimate his ability to lose to a team like Appalachian St., either). On the other hand, Athletic Director Ray Tanner knows that a failing Muschamp might cost him his job as well, so he might fire Muschamp to try to save his own job. Then again, acting quickly isn't something associated with Tanner.

Kelly took Notre Dame to the playoffs last year (even though it was undeserved). They aren't firing him less than a year later.

Harbaugh, Michigan's chosen son, is doing a good job in recruiting, just not in getting them coached up. He'll get to reshuffle his coaching staff before he gets fired, buying him at least another season.

Out of those coaches,

Chump - I think he is gone. That team looks awful.

Pruitt - Fans haven’t turned on him yet. No word on the players doing so. I think he gets another year. But, back to back losing seasons is tough. We will see. I’m struggling to give them 4 wins,

wiLLLLLLLLLie - Players are already turning on him. Fans have literally abandoned the team. Saying the buyout is too large is stupid. With fans not showing up, it will cost them more money to keep him than to pay the buyout. Unless he can string together wins to get fans back in the seats, he is as good as gone.
