Pruitt - Fans haven’t turned on him yet. No word on the players doing so. I think he gets another year. But, back to back losing seasons is tough. We will see. I’m struggling to give them 4 wins,

wiLLLLLLLLLie - Players are already turning on him. Fans have literally abandoned the team. Saying the buyout is too large is stupid. With fans not showing up, it will cost them more money to keep him than to pay the buyout. Unless he can string together wins to get fans back in the seats, he is as good as gone.
Pruitt has lost a lot of fans I know in Atl and Memphis. As for wins, unless they improve dramatically, I only see one more win coming their way this season.
Good point about Willie. I was amazed at how empty their stadium was yesterday, for a conference game no less.

Out of those coaches,

Chump - I think he is gone. That team looks awful.

I'm interested to see what happens when the local businesses turn on Willie. That crowd can't be good for the locals that make their living during football season.

Shows how fair weather they really are. We didn’t pack the stadium during our own losing seasons but never looked like that. And honestly, we fell from greater heights to lower lows - you could forgive our fans. 5-7 ain’t great but 4-7 is worse. And we have two of them.

I think Kelly saved his job with last night's big comeback. Not sure Taggart gets the axe unless FSU can do some fundraising. Like I said in another thread, there is something really fishy about FSU's financial situation. They were winning a championship and then a couple years later effectively bankrupt. I think there could be a lot more to that story and if it is something terrible he might really be there a long time.

The rest of these guys are gone.

I actually had that game on and watched the end of it. Good God what a crazy game. I've never seen such a lack of defense in my life.

Supposedly UCLA is a very young team, and perhaps that QB is starting to come into his own. That game very well may be spark that at least gets them a few wins this season.

Mike Leach sat there and watched them come back 32 points in about a quarter and I swear his expression didn't change the whole time and he didn't say a word. He just stood there.

Temporarily maybe. He's not the answer and everyone knows it, including him.

They are still looking at a 3 win season.

I disagree with you on this one. I really think he had a legit chance to be bowl eligible this year and he has a decent chance to get them to 8+ wins next year. Will that be good enough several years down the road to keep his job...probably not, but for the next few years it should be enough. He has some time, IMO.

Now recruiting wise he definitely needs to step up in a big way. At the end of the day, though, the PAC 12 is a very weak conference and competing for PAC 12 titles shouldn’t be very difficult in the current landscape.

I voted Harbaugh, but after thinking about it, maybe it's Kelly.

Willie Taggart - Can they afford to? ...I mean it would be soooo racist of them! (anything to keep him there!)
Harbaugh - He might be the biggest disappointment in contrast to what they thought they had at first. Lots of bluster, diminishing results.
Pruitt - He was there 43rd pick and they were left at the alter a half-dozen times before he said yes. Are they really ready to get back into the crazy dating scene so quickly? ...and can they afford it?
Kelly - the other candidate for most disappointing. Continuing the relationship analogy, he said yes and gained 75 pounds in the first year. Geeeze!
Muschamp - Is USCe really that surprised? He's doing just what he did here. ...and how high are their standards?

Husband-wife very polite (well, they were adults) Vol fans were behind me in section 45 yesterday. Husband says they can't fire Pruitt because they're still paying Jones and boosters just won't pay off Jones AND Pruitt. I believe he's right. For that reason, I didn't vote for Pruitt. Plus, I don't see how Muschamp gets to 6 wins this year after losing to Mizzou. Cock fans are getting restless. I think he's a goner.

Hilarious you say that, and yet I despise all the sideways passers from the Mumme tree.

You have a pretty hard head, though, and reality is t exactly your thing.

All of the teams we are talking about axing their coaches are in similar boats and we were there for 7 or 8 years and I can see the exact thing happening that was happening here. Win just enough games to give the idiots hope and you end up with wash, rinse repeat. As I said if Mustank's team could have executed a simple punt against USCe, he might have been the coach here to this day, so in the long run failure is by far the best option. I don;t envy USCe, FSU or UCLA fans, b/c they have winnable games, and could get to 6 to 8 wins, give just enough hope only to be in the same boat the following year. Mich. will win, but get skull fvkked 2 or 3 times a year but still get 9 or 10 wins, but no hardware. UToothless is actually in the best position. They have zero chance, zero hope and even Stevie Wonder can plainly see that the coach is a joke.

No, Chimp and Butters were always going to have 4 win seasons, it was just a matter of when they lost enough coin tosses, bc they purposely made games into fourth quarter coin tosses.

LOL you talking about the FSUx game or UCLA? Both were crappy defenses.

I know you meant the UCLA game, what a game. WSU did everything they could to give it to UCLA.

Wrong Kelly.... look further west

That hit me during mid-post, which is why I lumped him in with the other 2nd year coaches. I just forgot to delete the Notre Dame Kelly reference. I've made the change now, thanks for pointing it out.
