See, if you just titled your threads with something like that, I think we'd all be fine with them.
Instead of "Ray Goff"? Food for thought.

I have my card...it’s not for everyone...but I can’t stand the medication they give you for pain and anxiety...I don’t get all the animosity towards those that prefer marijuana to pills/alcohol as their medication of choice

Percy and his love affair with Mary Jane was the worst kept secret during his playing days at UF. But someone needs to find Nat Moore and get his official view on Percy HarvinS

Rickie Williams as well. Though his issues are probably deeper than just anxiety.

Yes, Rickie's issues went waaay beyond anxiety.

Years ago when I lived in Dallas, I was traveling out of DFW to New Orleans and Rickie was on the flight.
He had a woman with him that was responsible for making sure that he made it on the plane and where he was supposed to be upon arrival. It was obvious that the guy lacked the common sense and/or focus to complete the most routine tasks.
When we were boarding, I was behind the two of them and he didn't seem to really be all there. He asked her questions that a little kid would ask.

I don't know what role weed played in any of this just saying that Rickie had issues.

I'm not gonna rag on those that partake in weed use BUT if someone already has issues the weed use is just bunk. I can tell you from having been a semi regular user years ago that weed can actually ADD to your anxiety especially outside your familiar surroundings. It most likely will make you withdraw instead of engage in most social situations, slows your responses which can lead to aggravation and mood swings and yes, even aggression.

Regular ongoing use most, not all of the time, but certainly the majority, leads to a self imposed distortion of reality changing your perception of those around you and the World you live in. There is also the fact that a large majority of regular users also become and use with it alcohol and other legal and illegal drugs....again not all users but most do and even a small percentage become addicted.

Are there positive uses for weed? Certainly and I don't want to lump someone who occasionally wants to burn a bowl before they go fishing or watch the Sun set on the beach but there is no positive side to using it in ANY professional capacity. People like Percy or Ricky Williams aren't in need of smoking more pot, what they should consider is some form of Behavioral Therapy to cope with their issues.

And lets not kid ourselves, those Migraine stories were BS to cover for failed drug test or behavioral issues(fighting and aggression).

Seems like being high as a kite would HURT your performance on the field, yet we all saw how Harvin played. Imagine if he wasn't on dope how good he could have been out there.

Because we’ve been told all our lives how it’s the devils weed. Just a stepping stone to doing meth and living under a bridge.

I’ve known a few people in my days that were extreme in their consumption...every day smokers and they typically function better while high. They’re so used to it that they basically smoke to feel normal and not necessarily for the high. It’s not like the high someone would get if they just do it occasionally and become a lump on the couch
