Can you believe LSU is favored by 13?

Yes I can, and I'm sure our Gators are going to take it personally. At least I hope they do.

Actually, Nav is right. The point spread shouldn’t be that big, but it’s not surprising. And maybe the lack of respect we’re getting will fire the team up again.

Go Gators!

If the professional money think it is out of line, you will know almost immediately. Remember that lines/odds are not meant to predict the final score margin, they are designed to get as close to equal amount of money bet on each side. So if it does not move much, then the general public will be saying the sports books set the line about right.

Good. The barn was favored too and look how that turned out for them. This should motivate our boys to play harder (I’m looking at you Delance!) This is too high but I would wager our sloppiness has something to do with the lack of respect.

Again maybe Vegas knows more about the injury report than we've been told? Or maybe they think they know....
Could we lose? Sure, but this team has shown over the last 2 years for the most part that they don't mind being in uncomfortable places(on the road, close games, down by a TD or more in the 2nd half, 4th down plays, goal line stands and even overcoming multiple turnovers per game).....they just don't seem to give a f vck and that's a team I wouldn't bet against let alone 13 or 14 points.

I get it.

It's at LSU, at night, and Gameday will be there. They have all the intangibles in their favor. Against Auburn, we had the intangibles and they were feeling pretty full of themselves. Now our guys will be feeling good about themselves after getting all that media love from beating Auburn.

Trask hasn't played much and he certainly hasn't experienced anything like he's going to see in Red Stick. Our OL hasn't played much and certainly hasn't experienced anything like what they're going to see in Red Stick.

I think our D has demonstrated itself to be legit but true freshman Bo Zitx missed big throws and made bad mistakes Burrow won't.

The only real advantage we have over LSU is we've been in some dogfights. Both Miami and Kentucky (both pretty bad teams at this point) went down to the wire and we showed that we don't panic and we don't quit. LSU hasn't had close games (Texas wasn't that close). So while being "battle tested" is an advantage, struggling against weaker competition isn't a good look so our one advantage doesn't move the needle very much.

That's why the line is where it is.

I'm not a gambler so IDGAF about the line beyond keeping our boys humble and hungry.

It's going to be up to them to prove that they can handle the noise and pressure and that environment. They need to step it up if they expect to win this game. We can't play like we did against Auburn. We have to be better.

Last week, Auburn played its best game against Mississippi State. That was as good as they could play. That game fooled a lot of experts into thinking Auburn was THAT team instead of the team that should have lost to Oregon in week one.

We haven't played our best game yet. Will it come this weekend at LSU? I don't know. That's entirely up to our boys. If it does, we'll be laughing at the experts. If it doesn't, they'll be laughing at us.

Advanced stats like FPI and S&P+ love LSU. They're statistically better than us and they're playing at home, so I'm not shocked by the line.

Texas aside (a team they almost lost too), they also statistically havent played jack-**** for competition this year, their "success" is fools gold. The cookie monster has been leaving Burrow in cupcake games far longer than any other coach would to give him a shot at heading to NYC

I hope so. FWIW Texas has a pretty crappy FPI, sitting at #20 the past I checked.

Meh, game is played on the field. But makes sense. LSU is the exact position that we were last week. So we have to be successful where Auburn wasnt.
