I was told the reason he was 33-39 was bc he only had #15-20 talent at Cowbell.
You seem to be very confused.
Donk continue with insults as you please, but (if you can) explain his position. Is CDM coaching well or ill? Is CDM recruiting well or badly? Evidently, thinking that a 7th football ranking is better than a15th recruiting ranking means one doesn't understand math.

You'll never get a straight answer out of Donk. If you do it will be wrong.
CDM is not recruiting WELL ENOUGH to consistently compete against the teams that matter. He needs to up his game (or get a generational QB).
CDM is a very good to possibly elite coach. But even elite coaches need elite talent. He's gonna live or die with recruiting.

I am still confused. It sounds as if you are saying that he is coaching above his talent level.

Actually, no, he has so far coached to his talent level, which obviously neither Chimp nor Butters could do.

October is the test. Not September.

Slight modification - we aren’t recruiting well relative to our competition. 4 teams we play this year have “better” talent per composite. Another, UT, is one spot behind us. Miami is 3 spots behind us. If he was recruiting at this rate in the PAC 12, he’d be towards the top of the league.

I thought I saw something by Will M that showed a very high correlation between conference recruiting ranking and conference championships. Something like only top 3 teams win the conference.

Kinda early to definitively say. You have last year's lossses. But let's consider the winning streak since last year. He's consistently beating teams that are relatively the same talent for sure. And some you can argue had more. FSU has a lot more talent but is a train wreck. Meatchicken didn't have that much more talent. In any case he IS winning. But the season ain't over. I think of the Oline would get it's shyt together we could go far.
Law/Itraz met at a Madden Football competition where they both got identical high scores so they are both pretty confident that they and only they know anything about football. FWIW.

Got it. Objective measures are irrelevant.
Lol this is so stupid. What’s objective? A poll? Recruiting rankings (which are about as subjective of a measure as there is). Wins, losses, stats, etc. are our only objective measures but even those are meaningless because you have to apply the context of competition (again, subjective) to make them mean anything.

Well, you got the kids that hate UF no matter what, and you got the kids that love F$U no matter what and you got the kids that are all about the color of the coaches skin. After that though I have no clue why anyone would go to FSU. For the whores at FAMU? Liberal law enforcement? :dunno:

I get that, but any elite kid should only care about the $$$. Which team gives them the best chance to get to the next level? Any elite kid thinks that would be Fsucks or cocaines is delusional.

Same excuses traz trotted out previously. When we play teams with equal, or mildly superior talent, they are NEVER playing above their talent. Pathetic.
It is all very simple: CDM is a good coach and a bad recruiter. Explains everything.

None of these measures are objective. They’re assigned by a team of recruit analysts based on their opinion. If it was objective, wouldn’t need multiple sites and wouldn’t have these widely varying rankings.
