Actually, no, he has so far coached to his talent level, which obviously neither Chimp nor Butters could do.

October is the test. Not September.
I agree, October is the test. And things could change as quickly as this very evening and you would be fully justified in your position, along with traz, threat, cb, etc. But right now--at this very moment-- he must be credited with what he has accomplished: he has outcoached his talent level. Unless, of course, you are arguing that Butters left him a team stocked with three star diamonds in the rough.

None of these measures are objective. They’re assigned by a team of recruit analysts based on their opinion. If it was objective, wouldn’t need multiple sites and wouldn’t have these widely varying rankings.
Subjective and imperfect but still at the end of the season the teams in the playoffs are the teams at the top of recruiting rankings.

Getting your shyt pushed in by Kintucky, Mizzu and Ugly is objective.

Zook, Chump, and McElwain looked good enough in September too.

Taking a slice out of his first season is not objective.

I think we all agree we need to see how October plays out. Last week was a positive start.

Nothing changes tonight. LSU is significantly more talented and playing at home.

Honestly, if we go 2-2 in Oct*, then we are still ahead of schedule.

Need recruiting help and to keep moving forward.

We do, no doubt. At this juncture, it's apparent the recruiting jolt we need is not going to happen absent of results on the field, which puts a helluva lot on Mullen's shoulders.

Or we get a Climpson infusion of cash?

Likelihood of that.

So LSU game highlighted the areas we really need to recruit (which we all knew).

LB - really solid 2018 class, and promising start to 19’class; side note- Diwun Black was on the crowd last night cheering us on, really hope he’s here next year)

DT - David Turner has picked up our recruiting for 19, but next years DL will be a major issue

S - English is failing on the field and on the trail. He’s our worst coach by far. That said, we do have one stud committed. Need 2 more at a minimum.

OL - Mullen and Hevy will get this position right

For LB wingo is a great get, but we need a lot more, and he isn't a real middle backer. We have noone at that 225-240 range that can punish fools up the middle. Without some legit beef inside at the first two levels of the D we are just pissing in the wind.

Diwun cant come next year. He has to graduate to transfer to UF.

As for the rest of the class, more of the same, blitzbackers. No run stoppers, and no one w cover skills. Hopper and Pieere are still just 195-200 pounds.

Even our gem from next class, Wingo, is is really a buck, and a pretty good one, that we apparently are going to try to move inside.

I thought Diwun only had one year at JUCO. You 100% positive?

Pierre is built like a mack truck and I’m hopeful Savage can put some more healthy weight on these guys.

What are you looking for in an ILB? I like these athletic LBs, just need to beef em up a bit

Weve been through this a billion times. He has to graduate from CC to be eligible to transfer to UF by our own rules. Have you seen him committed in the class? If he comes out this year it won't be to us.

Pierre = Mack truck? :lmao2: yeah man, the 200 pound Mack truck

What am I looking for in ILBs? Im Iooking for ILBs in my ILBs, guys who are 230ish and can run and cover. I knows it has been a while but guys like Anzalone or Spikes.

The fact that you dont even understand the next three years are juat as bad as today due to piss poor recruiting says it all. Actually it's arguable that Butters was doing a better job at the position, as sad as that is to say.

Safety and DL (except Buck) same deal.
