I want to say this is on the D...but it's hard to stop the best offensive team in the country without your 2 best players on defense getting injured early.
Trask made a bad decision throwing off his back foot to give up the INT (when a FG was still a possibility); but there were a few questionable offensive play calls too towards the end. I hate to criticize Mullen too much since it was a well-called game for most of the game...but the last few calls in the redzone were poor.

This game is why top 10 recruiting classes are important. Really shouldn't be too surprised by the poor defense. Our two best d-linemen got hurt, and our safety play has always been a liability. Our inability to run the ball and Mullen's stubbornness to run the ball didn't help. Hate that Vegas was right.

We need a lot more talent before we even dream of winning anything. Mullen needs to get his recruiting fixed, he was able to get this offense in position to score 42 points. They just failed twice in the red zone. I’m not concerned too much about his game day coaching.

Well here's our first toad. Not criticizing the game plan, play calling, Grantham, etc. But "As long as Mullen is our coach, we won't win anything."

I place 80% of this loss on Grantham. I couldn't see that he came into the game with a plan and I did not see any kind of adjustments. The other 20% is on Mullen's insistence on his running game. It hasn't worked all year. And It's not going to work with Trask. You have a gunslinger, use him. Go more west coast, similar to what LSwho was doing to us.

I’ve not caught up, but here are my quick takes:
1) worst defensive game since Nebraska national title game. Gave up more than 11 yards per play. Almost unbelieveable Big 12 defense-esque.
2) with 1:40 or so left (with only 2 TO’s left), the only thing you can’t do is run and get tackled in bounds. It blows either 20 seconds of game clock or a time out (40 seconds of value). Either way, it makes an insides mandatory. It is just not an option to do anything bit throw into the end zone there. It must be a TD, incomplete or interception.

Missed tackle last on their first long run , and Dean can play safety . The nickel position without Chauncey has given us problems all year . Just play. True 3-4 and switch to audible zone when they motion into trips since our safeties can’t cover worth a ****

You mean like gashing us with big run after big run? Those long runs killed us as much as anything. Until we have a good offensive and defensive line, there is only so much that can be done.

Trask threw for 311 YDs and 3 TDs with 1 INT. He was absolutely clutch throwing on 3rd down.

We made adjustments . Just couldn’t pressure the passer or stop the run . Lethal
