If you aren't going to play Trask for an entire game and let him do his thing, then SIT HIM the entire game and play Emory. Playing both has to stop.
Mullen would love to sit Trask, but he knows it wouldn't be popular right now, probably because Trask is our best pure passer since Grossman. He is flat-out desperate to run that crap option, so he can win "his way".
I will say that Mullen's stubbornness may be his downfall. He needs to play to his players' strengths. Right now our strengths on offense are a pocket passing QB who is smart and delivers the ball accurately, receivers who run good routes and catch well in coverage and an o-line who can at least pass block half way decently. We should be a pass first offense now. But we won't be and it'll continue to bite us in the ass.
Look at what LSU did. They scrapped their $h!tty offense and went out and got a guy who runs plays designed to their players' strengths. The difference has been night and day. Just like the difference was night and day in our first half when we were chucking it downfield from the pocket.
