somebody remind me of a time when we had more worthless front 5. I cannot for the life of me remember when we were this bad, especially in the run game.
I don’t give a damn about how good Trask is. No team gets anywhere being as 1-dimensional as we are. Period. We were 1 circus catch by Perine away from being beaten bty 3 touchdowns.

Decent pass protection but really bad run blocking. The guards cant pull worth a damn and the Tackles dont push people down the field like the ones last season.

Maybe I watched a different game than others did.
What I saw was a strong offensive game plan that was working well until the fourth quarter when Mullen outsmarted himself multiple times and hurt our momentum and production.
Meanwhile I watched an “elite” defense missing it’s top two pass rushers get embarrassed all night.
We gave up 500 yards of offense and we’re complaining about the offensive line? Really?
Was the offensive line worse than they have been?
How many tackles did the offensive line miss?

The offensive line is a work in progress but our defense was supposed to be the strength of the team. Without Greenard and Zuniga I am concerned about SCAR next week because we cannot pressure anyone

I think most people just came into the year knowing that Grantham was going to Grantham 3 or 4 games a year.

At one point I thought to myself if I were our DC I would just rush 3 and play an 8 man zone behind the los….it couldn't have worked any worse
I've never seen a team that didn't even need third down.

We didn't have third and grantham though. we got that goin for us.

This oline is weaker than the line butters put together his first year. I can't remember one struggling quite this much. But they moved the ball on our defense like they were playing against air. That was our biggest issue. They laid a massive egg.

I agree on the defense. It sucked in both scheme and talent It wasn’t the purpose of the thread though. There are plenty of others that have hashed that out. If anyone wants to share who on this oline is even serviceable, I’d love to read it.

The thread is about the oline.

and yet, this coaching staff is able to scheme our way to 6-1 having gone toe to toe with one of the best teams in the country in their place with a really bad oline and a severely undersized Dline with below average LBs

if we can get some guys to fix those deficiencies, we've got the coaching staff to win it all.

No, nothing to do with scheme, or not as much to do with scheme. We finally found the best QB on the team once Franks was hurt. Sorry, I like Dan but, not impressed with many of his coaches. Why did it take 2 years to figure out that Trask is the best QB on the team?

If SCAR had scored more than 10 offensive points against UGA in regulation I too would be concerned, especially since their lone offensive TD was thrown by a QB who then got hurt and doesn't look like he's gonna play against us.

NO, we got Third and Granthamed... He had ZERO answers for LSU.

No, it's worse than that. We didn't even get 3rd and Grantham'ed, because we didn't even get them into 3rd down situations -- they only had 4 third downs all night (and only converted 1 of those).

Chimp has almost achieved complete lack of offense there also.
