Ox, if you are genuinely curious about my temperament, the answer is that yes I can tolerate pessimism and even despondence that is tempered by humility. None of us have all the facts or can prognosticate infallibly. Indeed many negative statements that have been made are well justified and reasonable. For example even your own hyperbolic disappointment isn’t offensive due to its inherent theatricality and mystery.

However it is the true sh!tbirds that I am singling out for odium: those that scapegoat and malign out of ignorance and malice, as though their disappointment with the team is the only thing important. That kind of egotism disgusts me. We are supposed to be supporting a team playing a sport that is full of surprises. Let’s at least allow for that possibility if we call ourselves fans, that we are pretty likely to be surprised by the way events unfold.

Anyone that still feels maligned by the above graphic, well, that is between them and their conscience.

Ox, if you want to argue that I am the real sh!tbird rather than the trailer park miscreants from whose meth fueled depredations you regularly rescue wives, children, and household pets by enabling them to post malicious nonsense online, be my guest. You can probably even make that case, but what you can’t do is gain them my sympathy. Because I will always hate lies, especially monstrous lies like the suggestion that craven, faithless malice can be born out of love. Tearing something apart can never demonstrate that you love it.

We only blitzed Auburn twice, per the last broadcast (can’t verify but I know we didn’t blitz much). We didn’t seem to rush LSU much at all either. Weird game by Grantham.
There were plenty of blitzes, mostly by linebackers and frankly they were completely ineffective.

That’s probably the best interpretation. And in terms of style, it is my biggest failure when I write angry. Don’t write angry, folks.

Nevertheless from hell’s heart I stab at thee yet, sh!tbirds, with seas of venom unbounded withal. For hate’s sake I spit my last breath at thee. Take this lance to the infernal depths with thee, though I am torn asunder and drowned by wrath. I curse thee and thy treason to the end of all strength.

I say bravo. Most here don’t know the difference between your and you’re. :facepalm:

Here’s what the sh!tbirds will never understand, the source of their treason:

“Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man’s company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.”

We may have lost, but I would be proud to share a foxhole with the team I saw play on Saturday. They battled to the end, and Mullen did a fine job of leading them. There’s no dishonor in their efforts, lose or win. Sometimes you have to tip your hat to the other fellow. Those that are ashamed of them can take their passport and purse of crowns and depart.
