I don't think Grantham will return next year - due to getting a HC job or taking an NFL DC job. I'm expecting a new scheme next year (but have no clue who will get the job; does Mullen promote from within or go outside?).

I suspect Dan Quinn will be available. And possibly sooner rather than later. The Falcons are 1-5 with their next two games being against the Rams and the Seahawks, followed by their bye week. If they're 1-7 @ the bye, Arthur Blank may tell him bye. Maybe CDM could pull a Saban and hire him as a "consultant" for the rest of the season?

Quinn likely stays in the NFL, maybe go back to Seattle? I'm guessing Dan hires somebody he knows or promotes from within.

I expect so too, I just liked Quinn when he was in Gainesville and would love him back. It's a shame he prefers the NFL, because I think his personality is better suited to college. I really can't remember if he was good at recruiting, but he seems like he would be someone who would appeal to 17 & 18 year olds.

He’ll likely get another HC job in the NFL. He’s still young and has had success in the past. NFL teams recycle from within.

He has the claim to fame that he took the Falcons to the Super Bowl.....and had a 25 point lead on the Pats

Nothing against Quinn, but if we're going to be replacing the defensive coordinator, I'd prefer Strong over him, assuming Charlie gets fired.

Have you watched much of his falcons defense? I don't want a dc that plays that much zone. And his defense is well known for its lack of technique and discipline. Whatever he was at UF, he isn't that now. A running joke in Atlanta is that is where talented defenders go to die.

yeah that sounds like us. just throwing money at anybody that's available.

we are still talking about the program that went through recruiting season 3 coaches short so we didn't have to pay the higher buyout that is paid if we hire our new coach before signing day right? then bragged about how smart we were for doing that to our media parrots, right?

Well.....one guy coached our defense to two national titles.

The other one was great, but my preference is Charlie.

When Quinn came, we wondered if he wasnt going to run back to the NFL at first chance. He did. IMO he would again, in fact I fully expect him to move to another NFL HC or DC job. We didnt know how well he could recruit, we still dont.

Id Iake a known great recruiter. Even if CS is rusty, DM has done about the same results with above average and below average DCs.
