So, I was severely intoxicated by the beginning of the 4th and have not had the desire to think about the game until today.

I have read a lot of the post game threads and there is a lot of talk about putting EJ in and taking Trask out. All of which I agree with. There were just some mind boggling calls. My biggest fear for Trask is Mullen trying to mold him into something he is not. Why he put FF in front of this kid is incredible and now that he has him, it’s like he is trying to look cool by swapping QBs during the game and doing at the worst possible time.

But, what about the defense? How can the D from the Auburn game fail so miserably in this game? This was a winnable game for us, but it was like Grantham did not watch a clip of film on LSU? I have no idea what to think about this guy. I was unimpressed all season and I know better than to take one game as having any meaning, but after Auburn, I though he had at least made some progress. After LSU I am stunned.

To me, Grantham is just like Franks, you never know who is going to show up on that day. It will either be amazing or a complete train wreck.

3 of our 4 losses under this regime are directly attributable to not being able to handle offenses that throw the ball well.

At no point in his career did Franks have the equivalent of Grantham's Auburn game. Against solid opponents, we always knew what FF would give us. At best, it would be an average game as a QB.

We were a 62/38 team last season. We're pitching it half the time now.

Mullen's doing the bending more than Trask. He'll be fine.

Read these fvvking posts:

One thing I haven't read mentioned, but may have missed it, is on what I think was the first play of the game, the Offensive tackle rather than trying to block Greenard, went low at his legs to either hurt him or get in his head that he was going to be hitting him low so he better be careful with the speed rush. And sure enough, he was injured on that first series. I have to go back and watch it but remember watching it live and thinking it was a dirty play even though I didn't even realize yet that he was injured. That definitely wasn't an accident and wasn't something the OT decided on his own, that was dirty coaching. Fukin coonasses.

Edit: Found it and it was the first play: Starts at 8:45. Goes low at his knees then intentionally rolls on his ankle. If you watch it in slow-mo you can see that's definitely the play where he gets hurt, left high ankle sprain.

Even more amazing is I just watched it again, this time focusing on the other tackle, and sure enough, the exact same thing on Zuniga by the right side on the same play. Those chickensh*ts went after Greenard and Zuniga both on the first flippin' play of the game! What a piece of trash Oger is.

Someone should design a leg breaker stunt to be run on the first defensive play of the game against the opposing OL just in case this is ever attempted again. If they go for the knees or ankles of the end, have the DT put his helmet through their right knee.

I don't doubt for a minute that Org would coach this kind of shyt, to take out certain players. As far as the Grantham/Franks comparisons, ones making a couple of million and one is sitting with a season ending injury so I hold the one getting paid a helluvalot more accountable.

LSU and Auburn's offenses move the ball in a completely different way

Couple that with the loss of our two best edge rushers and you have a recipe for disaster

Well the reason why we looked so much better against Auburn than LSU is several reasons. First and foremost LSU ‘s offense is crazy good and they were firing on all cylinders. Then you have the fact Auburn’s offense isn’t very good, it was a true frosh QB playing in an extremely hostile environment, and we at least had Greenard there to harass him. It’s not remotely fair to compare the 2. Burrow is likely a top 5 pick now and Nix is a extremely overhyped freshman

Im still trying to figure out how having zu and gren in there was going to change the fact that they were rushing for 8-10 yds a clip right up the gut every time they handed the ball off.

That is the real reason we got beat even though it seemed like it was burro. If burro didnt have the luxury of 8+ yd rushes each time he handed the ball off, he wouldnt have been nearly as effective and his completion percentage would have been significantly lower.

That dumbass minister will tell you them being out was the only reason the defense looked bad. If they had played, Lsu would've likely been shutout. LOL
