Bianchi’s garbage. I don’t even disagree with the premise and have said so many times. But he only gets behind controversial subjects like this because it creates what you see in this thread, which he thrives on.

He’s sitting in his Orlando mansion, gay porn blasting in the background, sipping a Truly and laughing it up at our expense, as we speak.

Why even engage in such a ridiculous topic?
Tell me how much fun this place would be if we all agreed.

SOS was coaching a team we played against every year while he was in the ROH. He brought us exactly 1/2 as many NCs as Urban. Do we yank his down, too?
While I didn't care for that, there's a big difference between Florida's favorite son and the hired gun. SOS gets extra leeway. And yet, the awkwardness of SOS coaching at scar is an excellent example of why we need to wait until urbs is done coaching. Thanks for your support.

I couldn't give a flying kangaroo **** about what happened 10 or 20 years ago.
It would be nice to find a way to win a championship.
I respect what Meyer did for us but he is irrelevant now.

Your disagreement is understood on a fan level. It means little on the journalistic level. He's paid to call it like he sees it. Given that plus the fact that he's a UF Journalism graduate, I can assure you there's no anti-Gator bias.

Hell, the guy for years has been called in to speak at Gator Club meetings.
Yep. He comes to our club. I have a pic of his bald head and me some where...........

I saw him at a Pinellas Gator Club meeting in 2007. There were maybe 20 people in attendance. Mike's good in front of a crowd. We laughed a lot. He sat in his beat up old Toyota in the parking lot preparing for the talk. I took note of that.

Journalists tend to live a spartan life. Unless you're really connected, there really is no money. He obviously loves what he does or he wouldn't be doing it 40 years later.

Every journo’s goal should be ESPN. Just take extremely progressive takes on everything, be mildly attractive, and well spoken. Good to go.

Gotcha. That makes how many available positions? Oh.

I have no problem with meyer in the ROH, but he needs to be permanently retired from coaching. If he jumps back into coaching at age 80, pull his name back down until he croaks.

NOTE TO THE MODS: inserting a link to a slantinel article should be a 3-day vacation. A link to a beeanchee article should be an additional 2 week vacation. Make it happen.

Spurrier was actively coaching at a divisional rival when he was inducted in 2006. In fact, he very nearly beat us and would have thwarted ourSEC and national championships that year.

The more attractive and progressive you, the better your odds of ESPN employment. Just can’t go too crazy - they did fire Jemelle Hill for being too extreme. Or insubordination.

It's so much different now, what with the proliferation of cable and the internet, than when I was in the biz. Priorities have shifted in a big way. You're right. Big emphasis on standing out, for better or worse.

No he didn't beat up my mother. But someone who takes what seems like as many critical shots at UF as he possibly can while defending "saint" booby and everything-f$u doesn't get an ounce of my respect.

I stopped reading his click-bait years ago. The only reason I clicked on the link is because corch didn't provide adequate warning. Now I feel dirty and have to go take my 8th shower of the day.

Nah. Bianchi is a professional gadfly, always and ever stirring the pot with his takes. Ratings and click bait. That’s it. And he’ll take the left side of social issues every time.

I think now is a good time to inform several of you that my posts in this thread were significantly laced with sarcasm. Yes, I was also being somewhat serious, but really??? Some of you need to lighten up. It's Friday... drink another Zima.
