I guess he’s not trusting Kyle “Trump Hands” Trask to throw the ball, especially given his risky decision making so far.

I don't understand the playcalling there: 1:45 on the clock and we have 2 timeouts, elite WRs, and a good QB.

Don't want to go 3 and out and hand them the football when we're inside the 15 and not with favorable field position? Ok, I get that...but Perine gets 16 yards on first down and there's breathing room.

Take one shot at least...

Why go into halftime settling for a tie knowing you’re gonna get the ball back? That’s what’s so frustrating about Mullen sometimes

That's one reason he did it. Don't risk a turnover and opponent score when you are tied and start out the 3rd with the ball. Consevative YES!

Its simple. He doesn’t trust Trask in these conditions. And I don’t blame him. His passes are inconsistent and hes forcing plays. I think its smart. Also, wouldn’t surprise me if the game breaks wide open if we score on the first series.

You’re underestimating the conditions or overestimating Trask’s ability to throw right now. Way too many inconsistent passes. Plays have been there. He missed Pitts on sure first down when he forced down field. He almost threw a pick when he checked out of a play on 3rd and 2.

Hopefully we score to start the 2nd half. The defense looks to be settling in so hopefully they'll keep SC's offense in check the rest of the game.

Trask was way off in the first half . Probably the right call going into half as is . Definitely would be different if we were seeing the Trask from last week. We have to get Pitts and can involved in the second half .
