You’re my fave @ltraz, but mostly on non-game days. Of course you’re right. Every team we play is significantly disadvantaged in talent or has trash coaches. Our coaches sure are lucky with this easy schedule and abundance of talent. I’m guessing we only win 4 next year since Mullen loses so much and things just have to balance out over time.
Mehhhhhh... is he better than Chimp, Diaz etc? Clearly. Maybe better than Shart at least as a gameday coach ? I think so but I dont think much of Shart regardless. I dont believe he is a champion and he may have already had his best season.

Most of us are worried more about Mullinz being able to build a champion, not just a 3-4 loss team.

To do that you have to recruit and coach at elite levels, bc that is who resides at the top.

Took a while for Trask and receivers to adjust to wet conditions for whatever reason. Definitely saw that in the play calling early. Hope we don't see any rain in Missouri. We really need Greenard/Zuniga back. Different defense without them. Looks like MSU defense is getting after Burroughs - what coulda been. And Toney will be a nice addition if he's ready for UGAy.

I mean, I’m with you. I want a championship coach too. There just aren’t that many. I can be ok with a coach that stabilizes the team after the last decade. And he at least knows how to win a championship - he’s been a part of it before and contributed to those teams. Maybe he works out, maybe not. But I plan to enjoy being relevant again for a while after dreading Saturday’s for the last decade.

They may have switched gloves, shoes, I don't know. Sometimes it's just that. Some opine that Trash probably has never played in the rain, and I think that's likely.

it was a stressful game but a good game to win. Surely helps our kids' confidence. Trash adapted and played pretty well in the 4th.

I really like that he's developing some touch on the ball and lobbing it in there, over defenders sometimes.

And fvkk Chump. and all Cawks.

I’m not so sure on KT. He was good for a few good plays but its not like he was a huge part of the game plan - for whatever reason. And if Copeland keeps developing, might eat into KTs touches even more.

When Mullen was hired, I felt confident he'd make us a pretty consistent 9-11 win team, but skeptical he'd take us higher. My main concern with Mullen was his recruiting. So far, Mullen seems to be the coach I expected.

Fair take. Don’t understand why he doesn’t adjust more in this department. Maybe he’s convinced that his coaches develop so much better than a recruiter that brings talent? I mean, facts don’t support that but whatever.

Yeah, this. One more bad hire would have been a program-ending catastrophe, IMO. Mullen has put out the fires, righted the ship, and pointed us in the right direction. He'll never get us to a title unless he dramatically improves our recruiting, but he saved us from long-term irrelevancy.

It certainly seemed like we were danger close to the “Tennessee” point of no return. FSU’s self destruction was more dramatic than ours - maybe their insane debt will doom them going forward.

When we hired Mullen I didn't expect we would be ranked in the top 10. I have been pleased with that but not pleased with recruiting. He better be willing to do whatever it takes to get there or he will not be around in 3 years. Winning 10 games every year better never become good enough. But for now, I like it better than 4-8.

It is a great feeling watching chimp going nuclear on the sidelines, and he is someone else’s problem. It’s especially sweet that UF is causing the meltdown.

I’m just waiting for the day he finally just slugs a ref.

He wins 10 a year, he’s safe for a long time - whether we like it or not.

His name is Trask sir.

It's time you manned up and started calling him by his name.

The irony being, he is everything you've been whining for in a QB

As long as one person here is bothered by his calling Trask something else, he will continue. Its a playground thing...

Sloppy game but we won. Injuries piled up which points to a hole in our recruiting. We just can't have people that don't qualify. We need a full roster. I think we have addressed the OL needs particularly if Dumervil commits to us and we have some really nice DL commits but we need numbers there so I hope we dip into the portal or JC.
