@78
BTW, that power play behind Heggie that Pierce scored (6:29) was the same play from last week when people were lambasting Perine for not bumping outside despite the OLB/safety being there.
You will see that 72 and 76 really manhandle their block this time and also manage to combo on the backside backer.
Chimps comment was "We gave upmthe power play, we misfit it from the linebacker position... and the safety didnt fit it right". Down innthe weeds but what that essentially means is the pulling guard creates another gap and neither player slide to their assignments. (I suspect the backside backer had the inside gap and the safety had the outside.)
It isnt a zone read. He isnt cutting into a hole. He runs the damn play Mullinz called.Nu uh. LSU front was shoulder to shoulder. There was no hole for Perine to cut into.
Not denying that. Just poking fun at the narrative our friend traz is pushing. Wyoming and Vandy is one season is tough to fathom. Of course, they probably still beat us.Methzu has always been good one week, terrible the next. it is in their DNA.
and yet, it seems both sides are pushing a narrative.Not denying that. Just poking fun at the narrative our friend traz is pushing. .
You forgot to mention Missouri losing to Vandy. :-)I can only argue incessantly when UF wins. I never feel like posting when UF loses. And FTR I am enjoying the hell out of the win - perhaps a bit too much. And the scUM and null losses. For a while I was even enjoying that awful Ugly UK game
Great point. His extensive history (1-1) against Mizzou definitely reinforces that point.and yet, it seems both sides are pushing a narrative.
Dan Mullinz hasnt dominated Methzu or Odom either.
Everthing okay at home, buddy? Work getting to you?It isnt a zone read. He isnt cutting into a hole. He runs the damn play Mullinz called.
50% is 50%. Again, some good some bad in his own resume. Same resume re vs Burp and Matt Luke, both teams over which he CLEARLY had a talent advantage, and he was 50% ish with them too.Great point. His extensive history (1-1) against Mizzou definitely reinforces that point.
You're crazy. It is a basic power. We pulled the right guard (backside) on both. Combo block by the playside tackle and guard on both.Everthing okay at home, buddy? Work getting to you?
You said it was the same play, it's not. Never mind it's a different formation and we pulled one guard instead of two.
check on those same unrushed coaching searches now........btw that resume is being updated while we speak...........lookng pretty gddmmm good from where Im sitting today...........I will X and O a little. I played quite a bit of HS football and have been a close observer for quite awhile now. Why does he keep running the ball? And seemingly into oblivion at times. To keep the LBs honest. To slow down the pass rush. To keep them thinking. Play action is a bcch sometimes and TRASK is pretty good at it......... I hear he gets too cute sometimes. Nobody ever got cuter than SOS but its hard to argue when the end result is a win. I keep thinking if Kyle Trask ran a 4.5 nobody could touch us. To me football is a real bottom line game. Did we win. Are we getting better. Are we interesting. But mainly did we win? Mullen has shut more mouths than my old teacher/principal when he took out that big paddle. He has shown he can have three guys read to play QB on our team when the last 12 years said we could not. Now you we can micro check every play and formation and movement by any player on the field in every play but the deal is we are winning. Playing well on offense in extreme conditions with a QB from no damn where..........after while Mullen gets credit for that..........Ive said this before but he is playing the hand he was dealt and doing EXTREMELY well..........but recruiting .....but but five stars..............when he whips that team of five stars Kirby has in two weeks we will be having another FUN conversation..............coaching is what is going on in Gainesville now and it is a sight for sore eyes...........But his resume is some good, some bad. It just is. There is a reason no one was rushing to Starkville to try to hire him.
I swear I tried to read that.check on those same unrushed coaching searches now........btw that resume is being updated while we speak...........lookng pretty gddmmm good from where Im sitting today...........I will X and O a little. one more thing.........Im living in THIS minute. not looking in the mirror at all the awful back there.........poor decisions were us but look back far enough and GOD was smiling so hard on us that nothing seemed bad anymore............
