Why exactly do you hate him? I’d be willing to bet you cheered for him when he was a Gator.
Why do you unconditionally slob his knob? Urbs has a very clear history of claiming medical “problems” when the going gets tough and then quits like a little b!tch.

I cheered for Urb while he was at Florida and I did the same for Hernandez. But over time a pattern emerged; Urban turned out to be a huge puzzy and A Hern is a murderer. Should I still support A Hern because of the trophies he help put in our case?

As a Cowboys fan, I am intrigued by the prospect (also that of Lincoln Riley). However, there are only three coaches who have won both the NCAA National Championship and a Super Bowl. Only one is still coaching in the NFL.

Beyond Pete Carroll are there any other current NFL coaches that have had championship (even conference-level) careers in the NCAA? The NFL is very different than during the 90s when Johnson and Switzer won their Super Bowls.

You are an idiot of epic proportions. I support him because of what he did for UF.

If Meyer turns out to be a serial killer, I promise you I’ll stop supporting him.

If you’re going to support Hernandez, you’ll need a shovel.

I don't believe you. in fact I remember pretty clearly that you were supporting Hernandez while he was in prison.

Now that Urban is officially "cured" of his pressure-related critical health issues, he'll pop up again as HC of another famous school - soon. I think it would be fun to see him replace Harbaugh at Meetchicken and go up against his beloved OSU every year.
The way I see it, he has two goals left he could chase:
1.) Become the first and only coach in NCAA history to win a Natty at 3 different schools.
2.) Try to win a SuperBowl.

Personally, I hope he tries one or other and fails. Don't like Meyer, period. Thanks for the Trophies though. Well earned by Tebow, Spikes, Mullen and crew.

That's so fair weather. Me and the Pouncy twins supported Aaron Hernandez til the bitter end.

I think a real key to meyer's success was his astounding recruiting prowess. He's not some great Xs and Os guy. Hes a good game manager, strategist, and motivator, but hes also a monster recruiter. Probably second only to Saban. So for the same reason Saban failed, I think Meyer would as well. The NFL takes one of their best abilities and renders it null.

This was my thought on the whole thing. Wish he'd come back to UF as recruiting coordinator. LOL

I think Saban was close to being successful in the NFL. He wanted Brees and I think they got stuck w/ Culpepper. Imagine how differently the universe would be...if Saban got Brees. I'll leave it there.

I kinda think Urbs would do well at Dallas. The roster is set up for how he likes to play and the stress in the pros is high but it isn't like the stress of college ball. Its professional and not herding a bunch of cats and kissing high school kids and their parents butts. Urbs is a very good leader of leaders, which is what a NFL coach does. In college ... there is a lot more to it than keeping your assistant coaches informed. Not saying its easier to be a NFL coach than College ... just saying I think his attributes might fit more in the NFL role now as opposed to the NFL of yesterday.

What I mean by that last statement ... the pros has now transformed to a league that plays more with a QB that is a dual threat vs the prototypical pro qb of yesteryears.
