Interesting clip. With Greenard and Zuniga in the lineup, teams are averaging a little over a yard a carry. And opposing QBs have a QBR rating of TEN points.

Given the depth at WR, not having Toney is not as big a deal as it could be. (Now if Greenard and/or Zuniga are out, very different story.)

Stopping Swift (or, at least, slowing him down) is the whole story. If Greenard and Zuniga can help stop the run, it will force Fromm into passing more than he (and Smart) wants to. Don't get me wrong, Fromm's a very accurate QB and a great game manager, but their O is not built around him throwing it 40 times a game. And if he has to, he's going to be throwing it into the likes of CJ and Marco, Steiner, and the rest of our DBs, and that should pose trouble for the puppies.

To be clear, I did hear Tony was practicing so maybe it was just precaution. But, you can counter that with the two ends both being full go and looking good as of early in the week.

Oh, that one's never coming back. Nike made us (and three other teams, I think Va Tech, scUM, and the Ducks) wear those back in 2005. I think we're going with all blue and orange hats, same as when Timmy ran over them in 2009 to beat Herschel's rushing TD record.

Dan says Toney is full go, and his teammates say he's doing great work in practice. That being said, the way the other WRs have stepped up, he now becomes just another weapon, but one the Puppies will have to keep their eye on.

Was in that endzone. I’ll remember that rush for the rest of my life.

I thought we normally knew by this time of game week what the combo is, no? Tad interesting we haven’t if that is accurate.

update: just read they’ll announce the combo tonight between 915-930. Weird as hell there is an “announcement”

I wanted to post something earlier this week in regards to Meyer, but wasn’t ready for the uproar that would ensue. The man seems to be itching to be welcomed or even involved with our program to some extent. I personally would not be opposed to it with the way recruiting has been going. If he’s not gonna coach somewhere, why not welcome him back in some capacity. Spurrier, Meyer, Mullen. All on campus. Croots would literally flock. I for one would be all for it.
