It's time to officially fire up the head coaching search. Who you got?

One loss and everyone jumps ship. McElwain left us in a shambles. For Mullen to have come in and turned this around so quickly - well, if UF took your advice and started a search, the whole football world would think the administration is out of its mind.

At the beginning of this season I figured we'd finish 10-2 in the regular season with losses to LSU and GA, and my prediction is on track. I also thought that we'd reach where we want to be in our third year. We're on track. Am I disappointed with yesterday's loss? Sure. But am I going to jump ship after a loss to GA? No. Wanting to can Mullen at this point in his tenure is the height of absurdity.

I haven't jumped ship. I've just seen a lot of coaching and recruiting deficiencies that need to be fixed if Mullen is going to have a chance to be successful here. If you can't beat UGA, you won't last long around here. That's just how it is. The noise will get very loud if he doesn't figure something out.

Look, I want to beat them, and beat them bad. I live here. It's awful after losing to them. This city is so Dog-centric, the local sports guy tonight made it sound like this is the way it's "spozed to be." I think Dan can get it done, and I think it'll be next year. Since I do live here, and read all their crap, I knew it wouldn't happen until Dan's 3rd year, although of course, I wanted it to happen this year.

It's not so much that we lost to them, it's HOW we lost to them.
We needed this game THIS year.
I don't want to fall into the whole "wait until next year" mentality.
Championship coaches know that this is a must win game and the coaches failed.
Plain an simple--they failed.
Losers make exuces.
I'm not calling for Mullen to be fired, but there needs to be some accountability for this loss.
It hurts and it should hurt.

Please let them hire a 1st year coordinator lol. That would be hilarious.
I mean... that would scare the hell out of me. I agree that he doesn’t have the experience but he’s the sole reason for their transformation. If there was a coordinator to take a chance on right now, he’s it.

He’s not even the O.C. He’s the WR coach and passing game coordinator. The Noles can hire him for all I care. Plenty of other candidates concern me more than this guy.
Hmm... I know it’s a pipe dream but it’d be awesome for Dan to hire this dude as an OC and consolidate the staff under him. I don’t mind Mullen’s offense but it could be improved with a fresh perspective.

The guy who caught that guy offense is available, Tony Franklin.

Im not a big fan of that offense but they have no trouble beating Grantham.

English translation?
Tony Franklin is at Middle Tennessee. Franklin also seems to be a fairly honorable guy who reported cheating by Mumme at Kintucky. He's basically been blackballed since then. He is the guy who taught Neal Brown. Ensminger is an assistant under Brown.

Do you really think Mullinz wants to go hurry up and pass happy? It is the exact opposite of Mullinz football. He'd be jist as likely to hire one of those guys as SOS.

Again I'm not a fan of the air raid, but this particular version of it runs a little more and has a little more vertical passing than Mumme and The Pirate.

No, I don’t think Mullen wants that. It’s why I used the phrase “pipe dream”. I want it, don’t think he does.
