FSU got caught with their pants down when Jimbo left them late in the season when all the good available candidates were already hired by other schools. Taggart was a desperation hire of what was left available. FSU wanted to be the first school in the coaching search this year. I do not believe they have a big named coach lined up. My guess is that they have a Tennessee like coaching search on the horizon and it's going to be fantastic to watch it unfold.

Yeah, I mean seriously, is Willie going to sue them? Why? He just walked out the door with about $28 million (salary they paid him plus buyout) for a little less than 2 years of work. Why in the hell would he sue over that kind of package? He's probably happier than a pig in slop right now.

Sources tell FootballScoop FSU plans to use Glenn Sugiyama of DHR to lead the search. Sugiyama oversaw Utah State’s search (which resulted in them re-hiring former head coach Gary Andersen), Arizona’s search (Kevin Sumlin) and Oregon State’s search (which resulted in hiring Jonathan Smith) recently (among others). Sugiyama also oversaw the search which placed Charlie Weis at Kansas......with that track record color me scared

This actually makes sense. Kind of a Rooney rule type thing. Still, Herbie’s talk with Stoops was pretty strong unless Stoops said that because of “process” concerns. Highly doubtful though. If he really did get hired, everyone would know the process was a sham and would still likely open them up. Sunshine Laws would uncover a lot.

Willie ain't suing them he's got $17 million reasons not to, and probably has specific contract language to ensure he cannot sue.
