Does one have to have a diploma from a University to qualify as a HC'ing candidate? Or does anyone who has simply set foot on the :nole:College campus automatically receive one in the mail?

Dear sweet, swaddled baby Jesus, please let the Clowns offer Peon Deion the Head Clown position at the circus.

hey, he has coaching experience:

From Wikipedia: “Sanders currently works as an analyst for CBS Sports and the NFL Network. He is also the offensive coordinator at Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill high school, which his sons attend. Sanders founded the Prime Prep Academycharter school in 2012 where he coached until the school closed in 2015 due to financial insolvency.”

Bobby Bowden turned 90 today. I propose they bring him back as coach with Deion as coach in waiting.

Deion Sanders being named head coach of FSU would be a dream come true. Holy crap, can you imagine how badly it would end? Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a shred of truth that he’s been seriously considered.

If you’re really considering hiring Deion Sanders, you sure don’t need to pay for a search firm.

They might be forced to hire another African American given the accusations of racism for firing Taggart after only one-and-a-half seasons. That pretty much narrows down their choices to Sanders and Sylvester Crooms. To be fair to the administration, though, Taggart had lost all his confidence and had a panic-stricken and scared look on his face for almost the entire season. There's no way he could coach effectively with that terrified demeanor. He looked like one of those guys howling about "haints" in an old 1940s horror-comedy:

Depending on the assistants this might work out, after all he probably would be a decent recruiter, has contacts in the NFL and in the media. With the right crew to do the actual work and someone to make sure he does not cheat it might work.

No one would stop him from breaking dozens of rules in his first year

This guy blew off class and showed total disrespect to that university while he played there. He’s an embarrassment.

I guess he won’t have to worry about the Deion Sanders rule. It requires being bowl eligible.

@SportsbyBrooks: Ian's (@RapSheet) report about Deion Sanders and FSU is spot on. Additionally, SportsbyBrooks has learned from multiple sources that Sanders has been reaching out to possible assistant coaches as he looks to fill out a coaching staff.
