Another slow start or just errors to start. I would have been more comfortable with O if it had been 35-0 at half and then coasted. A few dropped balls and many unblocked runs. Interceptions continue to be problematic.

I like the EJ Toney combo. Lets face it, CDM is going to call his O if it kills KT. White and Diabate had promising games which is good for the future. Lot of DL guy’s getting extended playing time.

Still think the best the O looked was against LSU, because we had to use less sideways. Saw some WR blocking! But given the competition, I would hope so.

D looked good, but it was Vandy. DB’s were once again bailed out by bad qb play. Always looking for perfection, probably why I am a curmudgeon ;)

Hopefully the team is well prepped to crush Mizzou and SOW so we can build some recruiting mo!

Go Gators! Time for some tiger tail!

I’m still bitter about the prior week’s game management at the end, that Mullen rubbed in all game against Vandy, particularly at the start. We took nearly 7 minutes against the Dwags when we needed to hurry, then against Vandy we run uptempo right out of the gate and snap the ball with 25 plus seconds on the play clock most snaps.

Serious, WTF. I know Donkey went to the absurd suggestion that Mullen just wanted it close against the nutlickers so he intentionally went slow (even though it hurt our chance of winning), but I thought we are just not capable or perhaps ineffective if we go uptempo (not Oregon level tempo, just not taking every last second to get plays off). Mullen choosing to go uptempo nearly all game versus Vandy, though, was the best evidence that the Donk was right and Mullen was afraid to push the pace when we needed to. I know we looked good against Vandy, but this is so frustrating that I’m not getting it past it too well. To come out that way against Vandy was like a mocking and stubborn Mullen saying to the press “see we can go fast”. Fine, but why wait until the Vandy game to do it.

Wondrous "say so" again Cover.
We have no answer-remedy for our flop-slop run game unless it's to rely on Pierce as our bash-back, running him time & time again. IMO, Pierce will rise to the role and turn into the "enforcer" of a decent run attack. DM must be saving Clement's redshirt - he could have been used for development. I think Clement has useful potential .... we'll see next year? M. Davis could have been relied on to a greater extent this year.
Hope we get a freshman RB that can rip up opposing Ds.

This year is going fine if we win out. Next year we'll be better developed and better supplied. I'm hoping our winning will enhance our closout in recruiting. Trask should be able to develop more and then watch out. M.Davis, Copeland, Pitts will be more at pass receivers than this year.
Go Gators.

It was fun watching our Gators do what they're supposed to do to Vandy. Now let's go send Mizzou to the kitty litter box and beat the crap out of them.

Congrats, you just make Donkey's list.
Honored. As John Lenon once said "I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we've passed the audition!"

When a coach is limited by what the team can do on offense his end game strategy may be different than what he or we would like it to be. Hopefully recruiting and maturation of current linemen will correct the problem. That takes a little time.

Whehhhhhh.... we have been blaming everyone but the playcaller for lack of RB running game since 2005.

rough numbers bc Im not breaking out a calculator

2005: Wynn 621 Manson 365 Moore 277
2006 Wynn 699 Moore 282 Williams 101
2007 Moore 580 James 133
2008 Rainey 673 Demps 605 Moore 142

Did those lines suck too?

He didn’t say anything about running backs. He talked about the running game. And you purposely left out the QB which makes the running game go.

Some of those running backs above averaged like 7 yards a run.

This OL is dog shyt.

There will be a significant difference next year.

Great as usual Cover. From the standpoint of entertainment value only, the first quarter was completely forgettable. The third quarter was one that neither I nor my grandson (first time in the swamp) will forget any time soon. It's been a long long time since there's been a quarter like that.

I know. I know. It was against a bottom dweller. So what. We've screwed up against bottom dwellers before with the last two HC's who will go unnamed.

When a coach is limited by what the team can do on offense his end game strategy may be different than what he or we would like it to be. Hopefully recruiting and maturation of current linemen will correct the problem. That takes a little time.

So the coaches talent level causes him to run slow down offense (plays going off with 10 or less seconds on the 40 second play clock) when we need two TD's in the 4th quarter after two weeks to prep, but then he shows those same players are capable of running up tempo (plays run with 20-25 seconds remaining on the play clock) the entire game one week later? You said "It takes a little time". I suppose all offseason and full season to date, plus a bye week was not enough time, but then one week later it was enough time. That makes no sense. That is a coaching choice, not player limitation. If you don't find that pace decision frustrating, or at least concerning, regarding the coach calling the plays, then we just have different expectations for the head coach of our Gators.

I suppose you also believe Mike White's lack of player movement on offense just needed players too . . . watches FSU game with all our new hyper-talented players . . . oh, never mind. I've been more active watching this basketball game than some of our players have been on offense today vs FSU.

People are asking why Mullen kept Trask in so long when it was obvious the Gators were going to win. I think Mullen wanted to make a statement that he has a good team and that he could blow out bottom feeders like Vanderbilt big time. Plus he didn't want Megan to have to drive all the way to the Orlando Publix to pick up his dinner.

If we’re vying for a NY6 bowl style points are going to count.

we’re prob **** out of luck if UGA and Bama are ranked above us tbh so we’ll be in the outback bowl at 10-2...awesome
