There's nothing to skew. It's simply the results of games. The fcking evidence is in the OP.Evidence? Or anecdotal?

Woah man. You expect them to read the OP?There's nothing to skew. It's simply the results of games. The fcking evidence is in the OP.
And he got fired. Bad coaches who don't win the games they should get weeded out.I was referring to his time at UF.
I realize now the folly in my thought process.Woah man. You expect them to read the OP?
I thought Hugh Freeze got fired for hanging with prositutes, whoresAnd he got fired. Bad coaches who don't win the games they should get weeded out.
Gary Pinkle, Chump (at Florida), Butters, Mark Richt, Hugh Freeze got fired for not winning games they should.
If he had won a few more a year, that would’ve resulted in a slap on the wrist.I thought Hugh Freeze got fired for hanging with prositutes, h
Maybe a wack on his peepeeIf he had won a few more a year, that would’ve resulted in a slap on the wrist.
It didn't help that he had lost every single game he was favored in.I thought Hugh Freeze got fired for hanging with prositutes, whores

I agree with the original post. The jimmys and the joes are what matters most. It takes 3-4 years to build a quality depth chart, whereas a new coach can be hired in a few weeks. And he got fired. Bad coaches who don't win the games they should get weeded out.

Picking the fly **** out of the pepper.I read the OP. I also read the title, “Crootin’ - the only thing that matters”. Given the small sample size, you can’t arrive at that conclusion given that there is a correlation between quality of coaching and recruiting rankings.
There is also a correlation between recruiting and success trends (recruiting/coaching/W-L record in the years prior to those of the recruiting classes currently enrolled, etc), Doing a "study" of 2/3 of a season's games is just not enough "fcking evidence" to draw the conclusion that "crootin' is the ONLY thing that matters". Give me a 20 year study, or even 10, so that we can begin to normalize the impact of coaching, regime changes, etc. into the consideration, and maybe you'll arrive at a similar conclusion as that of the Chemical Engineer moonlighting as a sports writer and analyst that threw that together on his lunch break from his real job. He's a UF alum, so I know he knows better than to draw absolute conclusions from such a small statistical sample.
**** just got real. Now THERE'S a variable that skews the data.I'll posit bag men matter more. That and lawyers to keep NCAA away.
You left out the catfight continuing from pages 4 through 397.I’ll save everyone some time:
Person A: it’s the jimmy and joes, not x’s and o’s
Person B: it’s player development and a good scheme that matters more.
(Page 1).
(Page 2)
(Page 3)
Consensus: you can’t win without player development and a good scheme, but it’s critical to recruit well, because you can’t coach or scheme talent.(page 4)
Seems to me...Richt recruited pretty well @ ugaaa. only won 1 SEC. Not a very good game manager imho. Saban wins consistently for recruiting, game prep, assistants who know what they're doing, and a very consistent and rabid fan base. They spend big $ on facilities and anything Alabama football. The culture in Tuscaloosa is a lot more solid toward their team than the backbiting that goes on here in Gator Nation. I like Dan Mullen, but I really don't think he will bring an SEC championship to Gainesville; too many conflicting philosophies about how to improve the process, not enough focus on what really matters, i.e recruiting, proper game prep, competent assistant coaches who are committed to winning, etc. etc. But what the hell do I know??..
