We can do better. We are paying only 200k less than what Clemson is paying Venables. Grantham is no Venables.
The high powered SC offense put up over 500 passing yards on him last season. Dont let the fact Clemson is in a one man Conference hurt your argument either. Granthem would look awesome too if we played NC State every week

Everyone can pick and chose a game and point to it, but when the games do matter, Venables puts a great D on the field. He held an unbelievable Bama offense to only 16 points. We saw what Grantham does against accurate QBs, he sucks.

But hey, keep riding leghumpers @$$.

Dabo and Venables have been at Clemson for 6 8 years getting their players to run their system and had 2 or 3 DE drafted in first round last year. It'd be hard for any defensive coordinator to F that up.

Pretty sure Grantham isn't going anywhere unless someone takes a chance on him for HC somewhere. I don't think Mullen will even consider replacing him. Giving him a raise? Maybe. Replacing him? Doubt it.

Yet Venables has better players, plays against worse offenses and is only 4 points better per game in points allowed.. hhmm

Seem when those guys leave every two years, there is no drop off.. I guess we need to give Grantham 6 to 8 years because that is the answer?

Sure if that gets us to the playoffs every year...what's your goal?

If we wait 6 to 8 years, then we have already failed at that point... We haven't even properly addressed the DT position the last two recruiting cycles, so we are already 3 years behind because of the recruiting of this defensive staff under the DC.

Beat the Leg humpers to have a chance at an SECCG. That was Spurriers goal every year. The rest will take care of itself.
How we doing beating the butt lickers?

The goal is to get to the CFP and Georgia's no. 4 with a loss to South Carolina. So it's not necessary to beat Georgia, other than the fact they are Georgia and a most hated rival.

And no I don't agree they should be 4, heck Alabama has one loss to the no. 1 ranked team so Alabama deserves no 4 slot more. Actually I'd put Minnesota and a half dozen other teams ahead of Georgia.

Blasphemy. It’s ALWAYS necessary to beat those pieces of shyt.

And it don’t matter who you put ahead of them, it matters what the CFB Playoff Committee puts ahead or behind them. That being said, after Auburn beats them this weekend, their hopes are dashed anyway, so it’s doesn’t matter at this point.

I still think a two loss SEC champion should go to the playoffs. Unfortunately the leg humpers still can drop the game to auburn and sneak in.
