I thought I was pissed after losing to the clowns Sunday, but damn, that's a little worse IMO.

People are kidding themselves, on drugs, drunk, or a combination of the three if they think losing to FSU was worse than losing to Evansville. Not excusing our loss at all, but come on.

Losing to Evansville is a worse loss. But, Calipari has shown that he can right the ship. He can at least put his team in contention to win it all. All Whitey has proven is that he can Chump up an offense.

You mean that single championship he has because of Anthony Davis, the guy who would have been starting on any NBA team that year? Nobody underachieves more than Calipari.

That’s what happens with freshmen led teams. They don’t win titles. I do think he is an overrated gameday coach.

one coach consistently has his team in the hunt late in march and has championship rings on his fingers, the other consistently has his on the bubble or hoping for that amazing NIT berth. no one would care nearly as much about an fsu loss if we knew year in and year out we were making a good tourney run. but we arent, and we wont be, so beating some halfass team from redneckville is about all some can hope for, and yet....

To be fair to UK they take basketball REAL seriously in Indiana. For proof watch the movie Hoosiers. The smallest beat the biggest. Those boys from Evansville will for the rest of their life remember beating a team of future NBA players. The three pt line and experience vs young talent makes basketball unique and much different than football. If not for Anthony Davis calimarri would not have a title with all that talent he had. The season is young. Youth will be served. Sometimes I think coaches with TONS of talent let it happen almost on purpose to get their attention to say "I've seen you guys can shoot but there's more to the game than shooting. There's fundamentals and defense." thanks Norman.

This is a point, with a caveat, I have discussed with a few friends that are Kentucky fans.

The point I have made with them is this:
How long before the Cat Nation wakes up and realizes that they have been taken for a ride by Calipari and all of the mercenaries that have passed through the program over the last ten years?
All these years have passed and they have one trophy and, as you stated, it was won with a player that could have helped any of the top 50 teams to win.

Meanwhile:
- Calipari has gotten filthy rich
- Nearly 50 mercenaries have stopped by UK long enough to get an NBA career
- Multiple agents have gotten rich by "sponsoring" said mercenaries that result in contracts.
- UK nation has ONE trophy since 1998

The typical response I have gotten is an immediate attack driven by denial that quickly turns to silence as if each person suddenly realizes that they are, in fact, being used.
Don't try to say that the Cat Nation is fine because they are enjoying all the wins because that is not true. UK fans expect to win lots of games AND they expect to win trophies at the same rate as UNC and Duke. In reality, they aren't even close to the other two programs.

I wonder how long before a significant portion of the fanbase sobers up and realizes my point.

STOP POINTING IT OUT TO THEM!!!

Lol, such information should immediately be classified "For Gator Knowledge Only" and it be a ban-worthy offense to openly talk about it in an open forum like this.

So White doesn't teach them the fundamentals either to really really get their attention? Brilliant plan.

Good point.

I doubt that we need to worry because they are a pretty dumb group so it will take another decade before they put it together

I came to this thread to see if the pumpers would use it as a "see, they lost too" moment. You didn't disappoint. If White had a pedigree equal to Cal then I might listen. UK hasn't lost 6 straight to UL.

So imagine if NCAA sports fans had a transfer portal. Now picture the number of Orange and Blue fans, including Chatter posters who would be filling out the applications to enter the portal after another demoralizing loss to the Semi's. Being loyal SEC fans the pain of leaving the Gators would be eased by transferring to say Auburn, or of course the promised land of Kentucky Blue. But a funny thing happened on the way to Rupp Arena. The mighty Cats lost. So now where do the Gator fans go? Duke of course rises to the most likely destination along with always popular Tom Izzo's Spartans. The trendy destination pick for those Gators despondent after 2 games may be Penny and his talented, and best money can buy Tigers.
In any event after Sunday's game the portal is getting crowded. However before anyone transfers out , take a deep breath, buy some Maker's Mark, and let the season play out. If it goes bad and you need to move on to Big Blue ,I hope you get a prime seat next to Ashley Judd.

WTF are you talking about?

Name ONE PERSON on Gatorchatter that has ever stopped being a Gator fan and started cheering for another team.

You're channeling your inner PE, here. Never do that.
