Ed O has been fired from every job he's ever had for a reason. Their OC, the real reason for their success this year, is going to be highly sought after and hired away if they don't make a move.

LSU can do the right thing and send that embarrassing fatass Ed Orgeron packing. Just once I'd like to see a school do something like this, and the timing couldn't be better. Have him escorted out by security on camera for the world to see. I want to see cops actually holding his ham-hock arms and dragging him away. If he starts hollering and fighting, it would make even better theater. That's when the batons come out.

Discuss.

I hate Orgeramous just as much as anyone who isn't a corndog. This is about Brady and Burrow. Hopefully once both are gone they'll return to Jamarcus Russell mode.

Brady is 36 years old and I think it's a big leap to go from passing coordinator to head coach...but give it a whirl FSU.

I get the thought that Ogre has been a lousy head coach in the past and was a disaster at Ole Miss. The Ogre has done his best work when handed the head job on an interim basis at both USC and LSU. The Ogre has a way of rallying his troops for a very short period of time that really is not a recipe for long term success. so when he was handed the head job at LSU most everyone thought that history would repeat itself, myself included. Well the first thing he did was realize his shortcomings and took a lot less money than most would have to be at a top 5ish program and instead paid his assistants extremely handsomely and I think that the DC is the highest or 2nd highest paid DC in the country. He stayed the course on offense with Steve Ensminger who he likes and was a very good player at LSU. But the offense stayed stagnant and instead of firing his friend, he went out and sought help and spent enough money to get that help. So far it has paid off. So is it still fair to consider Ogre a terrible head coach? I say that this version of the Ogre is the overseer, the CEO, the guy who delegates, hires guys to do their jobs and and when those jobs are being done at a high level (which they are now) everything is good and the CEO gets due credit. The tell will be when things are not going well in a certain area on the field and the Ogre will have to step in, putting his coaching hat back on and make changes. To me that will be the tell as to if he is truly a very good head coach.

Well said. I agree. So far, he has done a great job making decisions at LSU. I didn't think he would get them to this point, but he has surprised me. He seems to be doing what we all hoped Muschump would do while he was here.

We all know that the Ogre is a great recruiter. So, I don't expect them to have a talent drop anytime soon. And I expect them to have a really good class after this year's success. And if they win it all, he won't be going anywhere for a very long time.

When Orgeron was at Ole Miss he didn’t know how to be a head coach. He tried to micromanage everything and didn’t know how to delegate. But he learned from his three disastrous years at Ole Miss.

Of course the new look offense installed at LSU has helped and having a field general like Joe Burrow makes Brady’s and Orgeron’s jobs easier.

It goes to show you that in some cases hiring a head coach with previous head coaching experience is a good thing especially one with previous head coaching experience in a league like the SEC. .Orgeron? Yes. Mullen? Check. Muscahamp? Well maybe not.

FSU has been heavily rumored to be after Brady, which would make sense from both ends. He’s going to have a ton of teams after him.

The question in my mind is, does he deserve all the credit for LSU’s offensive resurgence? Ensminger recruited Burrow to LSU and his offense alone is extremely well suited to the former Ohio State quarterback’s talents.

No bogey for his getting acclimated? They’re certainly not a long-ball offense now, but they’re exploiting teams from 8-15 yards. When you hem in Burrow, he either wiggles free for running yards or frees himself up to throw on the run. Simply stated, they’re getting the most out of him.

Dude Ensminger is a known product. Hell it is his second run as LSU's OC. He sucked at LSU both other times, at Barn and at Clemson. He is 60ish and didnt just figure it out.

I forgot he was at ATM.... and sucked there too. I didnt remember him at Ugly under Ray Goof bc I wasnt even aware they had a passing game much less a passing game coordinator.

But Ensminger has developed into a Mumme-ish spread guy who throws sideways and retains his old Ugly pound the middlemthing, at a snail's pace, from his Ray Goof days.

No, Ensminger isnt even slightly involved innthis gameplan. They just figured it is easier to keep him innthe press box as eyes in the sky rather than fire him and pay the old man.

8-15 yard passing is fine, It is where you make your money. It is tough on the defense bc it doubles the real estate they have to cover vs a dunk/ spread. And 8-15 yards is a manageable throw for even QBs without cannons

He’s 30. Good grief. 2 years at William & Mary as a LB Coach. 2 years as a GA at PedoState. 2 years w/ NO Saints as an Asst. and 1 year w/ LSU and he’s now HC material?
