They took away Pitts so we responded with Jefferson and Grimes. Copeland too. But acknowledging that would require you to view it without bias and we know how that goes...

So much for those that indicated that this game would be easy to win. We had poor success on offense most of the game. Made several very bad blunders to get fouls (some with bad ref actions), some without. Once again poor announcers and only an fool thinks that we have a good chance of getting two losses from Georgia to win the east. Too many bad passes from Trask, and some poor too aggressive offensive plays from our coach. Still a way too poor blocking O-line, and little to no pressure consistently applied on passing plays. Also little consistent defense against the run. Happy for the win, not so happy with the play, refs, and announcers. On to FSU!!!

My real frustration has more to do with breaking Trask's rhythm when he seems to have a pretty good handle on things, while the outcome is not yet decided. I agree that EJ is likely the future, but we need to win NOW and hope we can finally figure out the recruiting conundrum.
Or breaking EJ's rhythm when he's driving. He stays in on last FG drive, and it's a TD

But it worked. We were distributing well. Stupid mistakes undermined points. How is that outcoached? Because we adjusted well to them taking our best weapon away?

Well, they took away our primary and we adjusted to the, as you say, open receivers. Good play calling got them open, no? Creating the match ups to exploit an advantage is good play calling, right?

Most of Jefferson’s catches were slants. Swains TD was a corner. Not sure where Perine lines up but might’ve been a wheel. But you’re right - all 9s. Straight verts baby!

So I just saw Felipe Franks at a Bolay restaurant in Oviedo. Obviously the injured players aren’t traveling to this one.

With all due respect.....he sat for 8 years and it apparently didn’t break his rhythm. I don’t think a few snaps off effects him at all.

So we ran lots of different routes and exploited the matchups they created but because other teams have those plays too they weren’t good coaching? Strong point.

Also... hammond didn’t run a 9 but because it was down field you classify it that way even though it was different. Jefferson’s catches still count, right? Didn’t know we were only talking TDs, thought coaching extended to other plays. Regarding Perine, I acknowledged I didn’t know where he started but sure, you do you.

You’re probably right. Maybe we should stop our HS offense and go to something more complicated. Like the Nuss Mac offense. Worked super good.
