As far as drafted, I don't know at this point. However, we do know how hard up the NFL is for QB's (although not hard enough to draft Franks).

He'd probably be better off transferring to a small school and putting up 5000 yards for them next year.
Is Franks worst than Driskel? Driskel just had a 109.3 passer rating and ran for 50 yards. Coach says they can win with Driskel. But Franks won't be drafted? Maybe.

Sadly, I don’t think he was. There’s a dark side there that we all just dance around because we like the site and/or have too many Ox bucks to risk. If a comparable forum popped up tomorrow and there was a strict assurance of a smooth transfer, I think several people would come forward with concerns.
They come forward with concerns all the time, I just delete them. :suspect:

He's not changing his entire offensive philosophy for Trask. It won't happen.

The evidence on the field supports this; a) Dan continued to play Franks even when Franks was awful, b) he calls option plays with Trask, and c) we are moving the ball fine and he suddenly fills the need to put Jones in. He'll start a running QB next year.

No question Mullen is a run-first thinker. Regardless, he’s not going to just turn the ball over to Jones without seeing noticeable improvement. Trask made very few mistakes. I’m not at all convinced Jones is at that point.

Oh yeah, took and injury to bench Franks.

I’d like to see some draws and screens to the RB. He needs to revamp this offense if we’re going with Trask next season.

Trask isn't about to transfer, for Christ's sake. And of course he should be the starter next year. We'll have a cadre of very good receivers returning and even though they have episodes of ineptitude at pass blocking, it's still our o-line's only strength(?). Does anyone actually believe that this o-line will improve leaps and bounds in their run blocking in the course of basically 9 months? B!tch, please. Mullen is going to be in the exact same boat next year with the options he's facing. He's going to HAVE to throw more than run if he wants to win games. Just as we've won most of our games through the air this year we'll have to do it again next year. Which QB on the roster is best suited for that?

My point is some of these players probably read this trash we write here. As a group we shouldn't be advocating for the coach to Kerrigan them.

I live in South FL. Amy Fisher, the porn star/Long Island Lolita lives one neighborhood over. So does Vanilla Ice's ex wife. Vanilla lives a few blocks away too. Too much violence, we're all pacifists now.

Don’t forget Casey Anthony....

I wasn't advocating anything violent. I was making a point that Mullen would probably be secretly relieved if Trask was not around so he could implement his offense.

I think it would be awesome if the players read Gatorchatter but sadly I don't think they do.
I’m sure they do. They are all over social media. It’s all they have ever known and they are are drawn to it like magnets. I don’t personally know any players anymore but when I did they read the boards. They were told not to post but there no way to stop them from reading.

Trask stays, and starts. He ain’t leaving.
Frank’s transfers.
EJ stays. Plays a little more than this year.
Mullen adjusts his offense to play to Trask’s and EJ’s strengths.
OL improves enough to allow a competent running game.

Mullen wants to win. He’s stubborn, but not enough to fail to realize Trask is legit and his best shot at winning. He’ll adjust. He likes the QB Whisperer tag. And now he does it with a pass first QB.

We lead the SEC in offense.

Defense is the liability. Some games will be shootouts. Fans will pee themselves with offensive excitement. It will be similar to the SOS years before Stoops came aboard.

I think Trask, IF he stays. With injuries, graduated, etc. he may want to try a run at the NFL. Not sure how much more a rushing attack helps his NFL stock.
