You think every coach is a great coach.

I dont like Grantham. Jenny Rowland is on the hot seat in my opinion. If we dont make it to the sweet 16 this year with this talent White is in trouble. I think Becky Burleigh needs to go.

Amazing what a good offense will do for you.

I don't really disagree on offense creating a buzz. But the signature difference is what good recruiters will do for you. Just looking at that list, we're having a better season(and last) than 4 of the teams in front of us(Mich, Aub, A&M, Tex). I have no doubt that we're where we are because of the improvements in the product that recruits are seeing on the field. But I have even less doubt that coupled with a few dynamic, younger recruiters, we're sitting in the Top 5. It's literally there for the taking.

Shockingly enough, our W-L and bowl game aspirations have run exactly parallel with our recruiting results.

3.64 composite in 2019
3.50 in 2020

Seriously, how does a complete meathead like Orgeron outrecruit us, Joe Burrow/Joe Brady notwithstanding?

Some guys are just naturally gifted recruiters. They're high energy, low substance sales people. If WM was at Lsu, and had a great OC who he was allowing to flourish, he'd be killing it too. I said in week one that of all the DC-turned-HC's inthe SEC, it's shocking that the one who writes with crayon is the one who is was smart enough to release the offense.

The problem, of course, is that when Brady leaves, if he's not replaced by a similar talent, you're left with Ogreron again. And I'm still not convinced he's a good head coach. So I'll still take a great X's and O's guy over someone who's strictly a recruiter with a head man title. That eventually won't work. We just need to add great recruiters to our staff and we'll be fine.

LSU is surrounded by talent and with no real competition, with good assistants they should have no problem getting a good recruits. All they should have to do is recruit their region

Best thing Ogre did for his career is swallow his pride and hire people smarter than himself. In becoming a CEO and stepping back he might have extended his career.

We can only hope this is a flash in the pan, perfect storm with Brady and Burrows, and that it'll get him a giant extension, only to never be replicated again, and we see him revert back to more hands on, leaving them saddled with an enormous debt that prevents his dismissal.

We can, but I also assume that is why LSU was so quick to extend Brady. Let Orge be Orge he will get some player but make dumb decisions which obviously helped us in our game against him in '16. If it is the trend and he is a changed coach, that region is talent rich and could be a headache.

Joe Burrow looked worse than Franks last year when he was forced to run a Mad Hatter/McElstain type offense.

If it were an 8 team playoff field we would get in to just get crushed by those with more talent....just like getting to the SEC championship game. Im not a pumper nor am i a negator, but just trying to be real here. We need better talent before making the playoffs means a damn thing.

We played both LSU and UGA already, and neither of them "crushed us". I hate that we lost to both, but I think we can compete with anyone.

True, we were in those games, but the talent gap was the reason we lost both. Could we have won? Certainly. Was it likely that we would win? No. And thats the problem.

If we played both teams 10 times, how many times do you realistically think we would win? Secondly, do you think we would have a worse or better shot at beating them now that they have played us and know what it is like to play a trask led offense?
