Florida is up 41-25 at the half. With Mann out, Blackshear and Lewis playing limited minutes due to fouls

Two real encouraging plays offensively to end the half: A high pick and roll where Nemb found KJ in the corner on a quick pass then KJ drove hard to the hoop and got a reverse layup - would like to see a guy charging the lane if his man decided to collapse on KJ there, but nobody did so KJ was able to convert easily. Then, KJ got a defensive rebound and looked up the floor where Quez was leaking out - nice downcourt pass and a transition bucket (plus a foul shot).

We’ve had a lot of wide open shots in our losses, just didn’t make them. We are today. So while I agree we aren’t seeing massive differences, it supports the idea that coaching wasn’t the only issue - our guys have to make easy shots too. That said, standing around is less frequent today, which is an improvement. Haven’t seen 4 guys hanging out by the 3 pt line waiting for another guy who’s dribbling to create their own shot. Lots of smart penetration and dishing.

This is worth repeating. We’ve been getting great open looks all season and at all levels....at the rim, midrange and 3 ball. But shot horribly. I don’t criticize offense too much until you can no longer get good looks.

Today we are knocking them down. The real issue is whether we can establish consistency.

Playing with more energy and purpose, more motion on offense. Solid defense except for allowing St. Joes too many offensive rebounds and easy put-backs.

I agree there is a lot to like today. I am concerned about the 8-10 span where we fell back into slumber. Good strong close to the half was nice to see

STJ goes zone and Scottie cuts backdoor, gets the pass and gets fouled. Beautiful.

I don’t know if that’s a flagrant foul but St Joes guy Daly needs a foul - can’t just push someone.

I get that its the correct call but that’s such BS. F2? Dude had his elbows tucked as tight as possible and couldn’t do anything else. He was just trying to secure the ball.

Pisses me off that Daly didn’t get tagged with a T then. His punk push could’ve led to a fight. Stupid.
