Well it's obvious how important Blackshear is to this team. We also need to figure out how to get Scottie Lewis more involved. I'm done with watching Nembhard dribble for half the shot clock and then drive for a missed layup.

Well, you (and I, and all of us) may be done with it, but that's the Mike White offense. I swear, the Muschamp comp is uncanny.

I guess the positive side of this is that he creates a ton of easy looks for himself. If he could ever convert them, we’d be really good on offense. Never seen a guy struggle to convert layups like he does.

I watched about 10 minutes. I see I didn't miss much.

Even the interviewer tells White: "Well, you did win the basketball game." Does that imply = your team did just enough to keep from losing? Or like saying your team played disorganized enough to lose.

Johnson did well at breaking the 20-barrier. Our team has the 'abilities' to have 3-4 players scoring near 15 points per game, minus Blackshear. That's if their shots fall. White needs to drill and drill these Gators to play with more aggression to the basket. Players need to totally practice in following the driver ...... for dish-off or put-back rebound. Still, most egregious flaw is just missing shots = too low FG%, airballs & clanging the rim, weak lay-ups. Hope gelling identity comes soon?

Great first half. By far the best 20 minutes they've played this year. Went into an offensive shell the last 10 minutes trying to protect a lead and not lose. Poor coaching with 5 minutes left after a steal and a 3 on 1 break opportunity, he told them to slow it down. Poor free throw shooting and no field goals the last 4:35 I believe. And how many layups did Nembhard miss? Still, playing without Mann and, for most of the game, without Blackshear, it was a much needed and good win. Blackshear has to quit fouling and stay on the court. Locke is a liability on defense, but shot it much better today. Lewis is starting to show his potential, as is Payne. Bassett tries hard, but just fouls too much. Glover was better today in an extended role, but with his size, he's, also, a defensive liability.

I know a few on here chastise me for my opinion that Mike is a horrible half court offensive basketball coach (especially when shots are being made), but when shots are being missed almost every comment about the offense on here is what I say all the time, make or miss. How many times do you see the ball passed quickly and crisply to multiple guys who are moving on offense? Never. It is one pass and shoot or one pass, ball sticks, pass, ball sticks. Or it is one pass, clear that side and a guy drives. I am not saying that you can't have one on one action at times or ISO in the low post, but swinging the ball side to side or having off the ball movement from side to side or off the ball screening to me stresses the defense a lot more than any type of one on one play. Even if you are nursing a 6 or 8 point lead you can run an offense that might yield an easy layup or if not, you can still run clock. But dribbling 40 feet from the basket to run clock and then hoping to score late is just not smart basketball to me, when the game is still in the balance.

Again I understand that just making shots makes a team look a lot better but I feel over the long run that the types of shots you get are a direct result of how you run an offense. The problem with Mike's offense is after the initial pass to begin the offense there never seems to be any flow.

I couldn't watch, and forgot to DVR. I may watch ESPN replay online later. BUT, I have to say, coming to this thread after the fact and watching the comments as I read ya'lls version of the game start to finish, I felt ill. Watching Lee count down the lead as time wound down....seriously? This made me want to throw up (the level of play, not ya'll), and I wasn't even watching. smdh.

And to prove FireFoley's point, we only had 9 assists today vs. 12 turnover. For the 5 games we have 52 assists to 59 turnovers. That's a terrible ratio and shows we aren't moving the ball properly. We're either jacking up 3's or going one on one.

Made 1 basket in the last 7 minutes of the game. Awful awful awful 2nd half offense

How many times did you write nearly this exact thing last season.

So frustrating that even with a completely washed roster, we have the exact same situation. Not surprised, but it still sucks.
