Can’t tell if serious but I do think it’s impressive. Bama put him in a tough hole on record. UGA is currently digging it deeper. He needs to fix that ASAP. Wouldn’t hate it if he smokes FSU Saturday.

I get that he’s not where he needs to be (SEC CG) but he’s doing better than I thought he would. I think next year is an important one for him - does he break out or fall back? What does it mean if he maintains? Is UGA the only true make or break next year? Will any outcome make @stephenPE sad?

He was 5-3 last year and Vegas was suggesting 4.5 losses. It was a nice recovery. Im being serious.

I don't like where we are, wrt recruting, but I didn't expect him to get here this year.

Okay, I’ll play. Maybe, just maybe this has something to do with fishing the SEC East pond.

BTW, FWIW, 28 posts an hour puts us at 1 million by year’s end.

4-7 in 2017 with macelstain/Shannon. Dan will have 10 wins each of his first two years. Stats tell us what we want but I’m concerned if we’re going to continue to get clobbered in recruiting by dogs and LSU this is where we will stay.

We were on this tack the other day in another thread. Mullen is unquestionably good at what he does. He gave us an immediate bump that put us back to relevant.

What remains to be seen is if he can take us from good to elite. In the absence of a recruiting bump, which isn’t his forte, I don’t see it.

My mood will be much better if we grudge fvkk Clowns by something like 91-0.

Getting owned by Ugly still pisses me the fvkk off.

Your mood will go sullen the following day when FSU hires a guy who believes in the forward pass.

Mullenz record is much better than the broken record that keeps skipping and shambling in the redundancy of some minds..........
:wag:

Just when I think you can't make the exact same post phrased any differently, you come up with a slightly new structure. Kudos.

Don't really care too much about his record while at other schools. We hired him ... the clock started then.

So far, he has had a good start on the field with the mess that he assumed control of when we restarted the clock for him. He gets credit for taking poop and making it smell good for 2 years. Smelling a bit better from the previous 12 months. I think we are all in agreement that with respect to just the here and the now, he is above expectations and has given a good visual of where he can take the program.

However, if you look at how he is recruiting, it is really hard not to question how long the trending upward line keeps trending upward. It is hard not to see that a bump is coming in his road and he is going to have to make more poop smell good ... and it will have to smell a lot better than how the poop smells now. While we are all very understanding and able to turn an eye from the residual stank that pre-dates his arrival on campus, this stank will be his from poor recruiting. An argument could be made (and probably will, and and I don't necessarily disagree with it on the aggregate) that the changing the culture takes time and lack of facilities problems hinders him from being able to compete on the trail, however, its a hard pill to swallow and some will gag it up. Some are already gagging it up.

How we finish this season on Saturday and whatever bowl game we go to has a lot to do with his record here. He is about to leave the zone in his tenure where he gets credit for the mess he took over. For me, I think that time has come and gone. He has shown us a team that is outperforming expectations on a consistent enough basis for me to start being more critical and have higher standards.

We still have a game on Saturday and we have ESD coming up. In my opinion, whatever happens is on him now.
