Trask is beginning to approach Debose longevity...
He’s not coming back. He’ll transfer to La. Tech and put up great numbers.

I hear the Bengals may be looking for a QB next year

As much of a box of rock Driskel was, I believe he is technically on his second contract now with the Lions.

I doubt he starts on any FBS team (even non-Power 5) the first game in 2020 if he doesn't make spring practice. He is really in a bad spot if that turns out to be the case with his leg.

If he comes back great. At this point, you're always a snap away from being the next guy up. Couldn't hurt. But if EJ is the guy, gotta take a look at that.

Assuming Tua leaves, Trask may be considered as the top QB in the league next year. Glad he's coming back, but can't help but wonder if he's better off transferring to a school that is better suited for his skillset. Of course, we are better off with him staying. It's good he loves being a gator.

Which blows my mind. He’s just terrible.
Incorrect! At 52 years old, and a lifelong Lions fan (we’re loyal, it’s what we do, don’t judge us), Driskell is the prototypical Detroit Lions quarterback... his performance yesterday, especially in the last two minutes, put him in the Pantheon of Detroit QB greats... we expect big things from Jeff... like at least as good as Jon Kitna!

One of the three is gonna leave. My money is on EJ, unfortunately. I'd like to see him in a full game at least.

Why wouldn't a kid love playing for a fan base that *****es about him limiting the offense because our offensive line can't block their way out of a paper bag? *******s calling him Trash must make him bleed orange and blue even moreso!
I'm only aware of ONE person in the entire Gator Nation calling him trash, and he actually likes him but old habits die hard.

Trask has been beloved by Gator fans since taking over, no reason to make crap up.

He spends too much time on swamp gas, so any smidgen of a slight gets blown out of proportion.

Well said. And KT could beat Ga., win a Natty and a Heisman, be an overall #1 pick, save a bunch of kids from a burning building, donate his NFL salary to charity and cure cancer and you know who would still call him “Trash.” He is a stubborn man; but he’s our stubborn man.

We went over this already. There was more than one person who jumped on the trash moniker. Also there are several gator fans who want to see "Mullen's true offense" with a running quarterback despite having an actual passing offense for the first time in ages. As far as spending time on swamp gas, I peruse a few boards but come here for the post game analysis by cover2 and others as other sites don't generally have the depth of analysis. The shtick here is entertaining to a point but lately has been a bit thick.

But I forget if you don't constantly dump on recruiting, mullinz and yearn for saban/Meyer/Dabo results immediately you get labeled a pumper over here

Personally, I'm really happy to see Trask stay. It's so rare to see any of these guys stay around anymore. Loyalty has gone completely out the window? To a point, how can you really blame them? They're potentially risking millions of dollars waiting around for an opportunity. Still though, it's nice to see some loyalty. The guy also happens to be a very competent passer. It makes me wonder what he would be like if we actually had a decent offensive line and running game to help him out a little bit. If EJ is smart, he'll stay as well. Trask only has one more year and then it would be EJ's job for two years.
