Lol Willie even screwed up his contract. I bet FSU gets out for around $10 million.

Now they're all focused on Franklin. It's comical reading the non-sense from FSU fans. Some of them are actually reasonable, like those of us who were beat down after the Muschamp and Butters fiascos.

They've already agreed to buyout. $1.7 mil per year for ten years.
pretty sure that type payout includes interest that would otherwise be accrued if the full amount was in his pocket now. That's a lot of coin... :nole:

I couldn't get much out of warchant's free board but I went to another with some Holes fans telling themselves Franklin has reached his ceiling with Penn State like they're in some mid major conference. Let's see....Live in Happy Valley although it's cold in the winter, or live in Tallahassee where it's become nothing but a crime infested dump. Penn State still drew far bigger crowds despite the Sandusky fiasco when Bill O'Brian took over.

Odell’s primary strength is that he embodies their program’s history and idealized culture. That’s why he’s an excellent recruiter, it just flows out of him. Not an act, not a pitch. In that way he would be like Coach O, who embodies Louisiana.
I agree completely. At a minimum, he is far better than Willie.

I'm on record as saying that I do think they'll play better this weekend under Haggins than they would've with an all but certain to be fired head coach in WT. Short term he makes sense.

But while he is and has been a part of the culture, that also means he's been a part of all the nonsense that has gone on and the losses that have become customary. Lsu under Miles wasn't a disaster. They just weren't elite and couldn't get over certain humps. In contrast, the noles have been a dumpster fire in recent years and have a serious culture problem. And he's been a part of that.

So I think you could draw a better comparison to Diaz who talks about getting rid of a disease that's plaguing the canes, but doesn't see that he was there and is a part of that disease. Other than the finances, and to avoid being turned down repeatedly like ut was in 2017, I'd want nothing to do with anyone that has been anywhere near Tally in recent years.

That’s true & why I said “idealized”. Nole fans minimize their ridiculously long and sordid history under St. Bobby and Fisher. Someone who taps the nostalgia has strong appeal and few will focus on the rot. I’m not saying they should overlook it, but it’s minimized in most of their minds.

I would happily go fail miserably at that school for that kind of change.

I'd even take some of you jerks with me. :suspect:

Lots of great stuff in this thread, but real knowledge was gained when Donk introduced the term "flannelsexual". I instantly adopted it into my lexicon, and will probably be dropping it on some ignorant soul at some point later today.

After learning of the term I moved my flannel shirt to the back of the closet.

I hope they hire Haggins. I fear they won’t because he’s a DL specialist, which hardly represents a splashy hire.

Norvell, on the other hand, checks off the boxes. Young, bright, an offensive mind and a solid recruiter. I was disappointed we didn’t go after him in 2017. He’s done a terrific job at Memphis. I’m afraid his time has come and that FSU is the one that will bite.

As far as the rumors that he raped a sheep, they’re just that.

With the rumors that Helton could be staying at USC, that means Franklin and Campbell are the likely top choices. I think Franklin is a reach, but the 2 sides are currently undergoing talks. Campbell is a real possibility. I'm not sure fsu is willing to pursue Brian Kelly since he is looking to retire in the next few years.
