While we did dodge a bullet with Kelly, I think we dodged a bigger bullet by not hiring Frost.
Everyone pretty much knew of Chip's social issues. And most figured he wouldn't stay around long(at least I did).
And I'm not saying Chip is a better coach than Frost. He's not. I just think Frost would have been a bigger disappointment. It was pretty unanimous on this board that everyone wanted Frost. Except me. And I got ridiculed then for saying that I didn't want him. I thought we'd get exactly what he's doing asst Nebraska. Not too much of anything.

Personally I think Kelly is a better coach than Frost, even in his vegetative state. Frost is a terrible coach and terrible recruiter. He's been AWFUL so far, and the recruiting class is ranked 33rd. Giving him an extension was a special kind of joke.

I didn't want Frost. His record was the product of a laughably weak schedule and a great QB. Kinda like Jimbo in 2013-14.

All things true. But Chip is also a train wreck. At least Frost cares about his job. Chip seems to be mailing it in.
