I watched a good bit of the Utah game last night and I'm not sure they'd beat Tennessee. I still think Oregon is the most talented team in the PAC 10 or 12( not sure what it's currently called) and they'd maybe be the seventh ranked team in the SEC. Utah has zero business making the playoff.

Utah would murder Tennessee the way they've murdered just about everyone on their schedule.

They've played one top 25 team, lost to an unranked USC and barely beat an unranked Washington. They aren't a playoff caliber team. That said neither is Baylor, Oklahoma, Penn State or Alabama and after LSU boat races uga Sat not sure what the playoff committee should do

I think the real drama in the bowl selection is going to be whether or not UCF fans accuse us of having a great season on purpose to avoid playing them in a bowl game.

I'll be happy with playing as low as the Outback as long as it means UGA is not SEC champ and in the playoff.

I believe Utah will beat Oregon - we'll see next weekend. Utah has the best D in the Pac12, by far. I do agree that neither team is playoff worthy.

If UGA beats LSU - Florida will play the loser of OU vs Baylor in Sugar.

If LSU beats UGA - Florida will play UVA in the Orange bowl.
I don't see any other options unless the committee loses their minds and puts Bama in front of Florida which would be asinine.

Playing Memphis in the Cotton Bowl is just as likely. I might actually go to that game if it happens. Getting to Dallas is super easy for me and I've wanted to check out that stadium since it was built. Also, the Cotton Bowl is on Saturday night while the Orange Bowl is a Monday night, which might make a difference to some folks.

There is one scenario where both us and Bama are left out but it would take a couple of things like Utah and Wisconsin staying in front of us even with losses.

Anything but the Citrus Bowl, once per season is all I can handle...

Cotton or Orange Bowl sounds great and we'd put fans in the seats at either.

Stewart Mandel has us playing Memphis in the Cotton Bowl.

Can you imagine if Norvell takes the FSU job and we roll their asses in the bowl game?

Don't see how this could happen. If uga beats LSU, they're both in and all four playoff spots are accounted for. Big 12 left out of playoff, and winner of Okla / Baylor to Sugar.

What I am interested in tonight is seeing what the committee does with Alabama. So far this year the committee has basically told Florida that we don't care if you lost in competitive and close games to two teams in the Top 4...you didn't win. Now with Bama having no ranked wins and losing to both LSU and Auburn, I don't want the committee to turn around tonight and say well "Alabama only lost by [insert score], this many points so they should be ranked up there.

If the committee is doing their job, tonight they will have Alabama below Florida. If not than all they are doing is looking at talent composite and recruiting rankings and saying well they appear to be more talented so they're above them....which would explain why Bama stayed at #5 after losing to LSU.

With all of this said; I'd rather go to the orange and keep UGA out of the playoffs
