Coastal Carolina just moved to FBS, so they can play with 85 scholarships. They had several kids leave last year when there was a coaching change....and they just had 10 kids enter the transfer portal TODAY. This screams "SHAMBLES"!!
I cant imagine how long the line will be to grab some Coastal Carolina players.

In Texas' defense, they had like 5 starting CBs and Safeties go down in the first month of the season through the Oklahoma game. In the pass-happy Big 12, that's going to cost you a few games it shouldn't.

Earlier in the year when they were at full strength, they played LSU in much the same way we did: competitive and back and forth until late in the 4th quarter and final score was losing by a TD.

Looks like Herman fired both his OC and DC and passing game coordinator over the weekend. Those are some pretty serious changes....definitely appears to be bailing water out of a sinking ship. So far he is a great example of how hard it is to predict which young coaches who succeed on a smaller stage will be successful on a larger stage.

The noise in the system was pretty strong given their expectations going into the year and the end-results.

I think it's fair to question the coaching on a few things (the loss to Iowa State was largely on inept playcalling down the stretch and 1 boneheaded play by a Sr DL on an offsides penalty on 4th down) and certainly the Baylor loss was pretty egregious too (also on the OC). But they have a very young team (their roster is full of freshman and sophomores) and lost a ton of starters and backups in the secondary early in the season. Not a receipe for success. At the end of the day, he's recruiting well enough that he *should* start seeing results in the next 1-2 years if he's the coach he's made out to be. Getting Ehlinger back for a senior year will greatly help--and I think he probably should stay, given that it's a loaded class this year and OK losing Hurts would tend to favor Texas next year in the Big 12 (plus Baylor loses a ton of guys). Ehlinger is a TX through and through guy and he wants to win the Big 12 as part of his legacy in bringing the program back.

How about Michigan?
Are they in shambles or just mired in mediocrity?
Either way- they certainly aren’t a powerhouse.

And they're about to lose Patterson and Collins to graduation and Donovan Peoples Jones to the draft. Their offense middled along before the ND game and losing those 3 isn't going to help matters. Can't remember offhand who their defense loses, but remember from the game this past weekend that their top safety, corner, and LB are all seniors.

If this season was a disappointment to them, next year will probably be worse...
