So, is DM the most successful former assistant of old Urbs?

Overall record suggests Kyle Whittingham (sp) but degree of difficulty suggests Mullen
I know I wouldn’t trade coaches with Utah

Just think if DM would have stayed another season (or two?) and instead of the Daz getting the keys for the weird 2010 season, DM was given the keys. No Chump or Butters. Maybe ... UGA wouldn't be dominating right now. I don't know ... just a thought.

Actually, Dan left before the 09 season and Daz underachieved in 2009 as the OC which should have convinced everyone, even Fooley, to never let Daz do anything other than coach the OL

Daz being named to replace Mullen almost out of loyalty was one of the more curious decisions Meyer made while at Florida. Can you imagine him doing that now after all the offensive success he’s had at OSU? No way.

In a way, Meyer had a lot of maturing yet to do.

Another mind blowing hire. I guess they figure he ain't leaving even if he has any sort of success - he's pushing 60 years old, this is likely his twilight tour.

These recycles continue to amaze me. If I had a track record like these guys I'd be lucky to get a job bagging groceries at an indie supermarket, let alone Publix.

The coaching pool in 2019 was pathetic. Norvell and Kiffin were it. I think Norvell may have bit off more than he can chew but Kiffy may dial up something interesting for Ole Miss.

SEC West is due for a shakeup. Bama is down, people are thinking Saban may be looking forward to retirement. Everybody leaves LSU after the playoffs, so they may take a step back. Auburn has some momentum but they can never get over the top, Malzahn is their Richt.

Kiffy could have the Rebels back to where Freeze had them in a year or two.

Things could get interesting out there.

Colorado State: Sources tell FootballScoop that Steve Addazio is expected to bring Bowling Green tight ends coach (and his son) and former Ohio State graduate assistant Louie Addazio and Ohio State senior quality control analyst Corey Dennis (the son-in-law of Urban Meyer) to the staff. We understand Louie will likely coach the offensive line, and Dennis will likely work with the quarterbacks.

:lmao2:

Saban by 30+, and any amount he wants to score.

We are still talking about Lane Kitten, right? The guy who couldnt win and got left on the tarmac at USC? Some of you seem to be talking about another dude.

Kiffy will be lucky to finish 4th in SEC West ever.

Have you seen their opening schedule next year? They get Baylor, Aub, Lsu and UF, plus A&M and of course Alabama. They’ll be lucky to get back to where they were this year, and pining for Luke to come back, touch of Down syndrome or not.

Talk to anyone who worked in the offices about Daz and the 09 and by extension the '10 season. You won't hear a lot of positives.
